Came across this today whilst litter picking on Hall Hill Street. The car on the left is always parked there, so the car on the right has double parked. How inconsiderate! The nurse in the car shown, who had just visited the Cross Hills flats, had to take a different route. Any emergency services attending here could lose vital time having to reroute. Don't double park, it's illegal to block a road like that, and could have dire results!

Thank you to everyone who has been out and about litter picking recently. We even have one of our litter pickers litter picking whilst on holiday on the Norfolk coast. David Bowers has been litter picking on the Norfolk coast recently, too. Must be a popular holiday destination at this time of year. I lived in Norfolk for 40 years, in Thetford, which is about 50 miles in any direction to the north or east coast.

I will be restarting organised litter picks this coming weekend.

Two more bags to report tonight from David and Nicola. Usual route from Moor Lane up Burnley Road as far as Institute Street, then back to PLP HQ for a cheese on toast supper. Pip approved, cheese is her favourite too, she must have had more than us!

There's no official litter pick tomorrow, but the Super Saturday Litter Picks will resume on 29th August, starting from Thompson Street car park, just off Green Lane. ALL ARE WELCOME!
