We are pleased to announce that our Summer Fair will be taking place this year on Sunday 19th July 2026 from 11am to 1pm on the Roseberry Playing Fields. Lots of fun activities for all ages will be provided by local organisations.

Community Litter Pick at Perkinsville- at the recent Community Engagement Event residents asked for a community litter pick in Perkinsville. We've arranged for that to take place on Saturday 13th June 2026. See the poster for details. Pelton Parish Council have arranged a Special Council Meeting to consider if the parish council has any comments on the planning application - DM/26/01061/VOC submitted by Bellway Homes regarding Land North And East Of Pelton House Farm Estate, Station Lane, Pelton, Variation of condition 2 (approved plans) in relation to DM/25/01101/FPA (housing) to retain temporary access and haul road in position as built to the side and rear of Pelton House Farm Estate.

We are delighted to advise that on Wednesday 22 April 2026, Pelton Parish Council was proudly awarded the prestigious Gold Award at a presentation, recognising exceptional standards of governance, strong community leadership and a clear commitment to continuous improvement. We would like to thank Audrey Christie from the County Durham Association of Local Councils (CDALC) and Cllr David Bell, Chair of the CDALC Executive Committee for presenting us with the framed Gold Award Certificate.

Community Litter Pick Event- We would like to thank the wonderful volunteers who came along to the community litter pick on Saturday 18th April 2026. We collected 27 bags of rubbish, a microwave. 6 tyres, a motorbike frame and old camping gear.

Community Litter Pick Event- are you able to volunteer?
As requested in a previous post where we asked residents for locations to carry out a targeted litter pick. We have received a request from a resident for a targeted litter pick along William Street, Newfield. This will be the area we carry out our litter picking session on Saturday 18th April 2026 from 10am to 12pm. We will provide litter picking equipment for the session. Karbon Homes Roseberry Park Development works-

Pelton Parish Council have arranged a liaison meeting with Sean Wiles, Contract Manager at Esh Living on the 7th April 2026. Sean is coming along to answer several questions we have raised about the development works. If any of our residents have a question about the development works please let the Parish Clerk know by emailing [email protected]
We will raise the question with Sean and provide feedback on the response.
