We’re so proud of the fantastic work Karl and other service users and staff have put into creating this beautiful bench from old pallets! 🪵❤️

The bench has been carefully sanded, stained and painted, and we’re delighted to be donating it to Yanwath Primary School for Miss Kemp’s Year 4 class to enjoy in their reading area. 📚🌳

It’s wonderful to see everyone’s creativity, teamwork and skills put to such a meaningful project — giving old materials a new lease of life while creating something that will be enjoyed by the children for years to come.

We hope the Year 4 pupils enjoy many happy hours reading, relaxing and sharing stories on their new bench! 📖😊

Well done to everyone involved — you should all be very proud! 👏💙

We got to sail again today but there wasn’t too much wind!
It was very relaxing and peaceful and just what we all needed.

Service users at the centre were presented with a certificate in recognition of their hard work and valued contribution towards the training they provide each year to Cumbria Police.
Constable Darren Martland presented the award to a very proud Tony and his friends at the centre, along with staff member Hilary who has taken a lead role in organizing the events each year.

Huge well done guys, we're very proud of you all as always ❤️

Little recap from the last couple of weeks....

We've been Sailing, Visited the Tall ship, been to the Aquarium, wandered around a castle, been for lunches and coffees, been to the cinema, made some delicious cakes and lots of other bits in-between!!

We won't have anyone thinking we take it easy in Day Services 😘

Okay....
I think we've finally come down from the massive high of last week!

Other than our fantastic Sports Day, we had such a busy week.
We took to Coniston Water for another amazing sail with Low Bank Ground, the weather stayed perfect for us for our second sail with them.

We also headed out to Windermere with ALL the tourists for another sail with Blackwell Sailing, we look forward to our sessions at Blackwell every year and last week was as fun as always ❤️

Later in the week, we had another trip out, the whole centre got out to Keswick to Theatre by the Lake for a performance of Nell Gwynn, a bit of an eye opener for some of our guys!

We ended the week with a much needed wind down with some yoga in the garden and a lovely visit from Harry the horse 🐴🐴

How lucky we are to have all of these things on our doorstep....

We are exhausted, but very happy ❤️
