It is located within Shap Memorial Park, next to the childrens play area. Free car parking is available for pool users. Shap Swimming Pool is open from May to September each year. It is run by a dedicated team of hard-working volunteers who are there every day in the season. The 16-metre pool is fully enclosed and has benches, a paddling pool, picnic tables and a kiosk for drinks and snacks. A qualified lifeguard is on duty at all times. Children under the age of 8 years MUST be accompanied in the pool with a responsible adult.
