Stuck for something to do with the kids this half term?

Why not bring them along to the library, where we have some entertainment and crafting sessions with Spot On.

Is That A Yeti Hetty? is a live-illustrated storytelling show for families. The show is suitable for ages 3 and over and costs just £2 per child, adults are free. There are two shows on Tuesday 27th October at 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

There will be a craft workshop after the show with our special Yeti craft kits.

The My Voice Travelling Exhibition brings to life the remarkable whole‑life testimonies of Holocaust Survivors who rebuilt their lives in the North West. The exhibition presents deeply personal narratives of childhood, persecution, resilience, liberation and renewal, told in the survivors’ own words. Panels, images and words integrate moments of profound loss - family separation, ghettos, death camps, and death marches - with stories of hope, dignity, and the rebuilding of new lives in the region’s communities.

This is a free exhibition that you can view during normal library hours. Finishes on Saturday 17th October.

Is That A Yeti Hetty? is a live-illustrated storytelling show for families about a child on a quest to convince her nay-sayers that yetis really do exist. Will Hetty’s Himalayan efforts prove that this abominable stranger is just like the rest of us – and might this just be a window on a more tolerant world?

This is a short show followed by a craft workshop in the library.
Suitable for ages 3+

A great walk yesterday with Wellness Walks. We went down to the Ribble, upto St Mary's Church and round to what is left of Penwortham Castle (just a mound of earth now). We then went to Hurst Grange Park for a hot drink.
Our next walk is on 6th November, 12.00 from the library.
