A very pleasant walk down to the Ribble yesterday. We kept in the shade with it being hot. Stopped for a cold drink at the Boathouse by the Ribble cafe, which was very pleasant.

Nick Oldham, crime writer and former police officer, will be giving a talk for National Crime Reading month. The talk is at 4.00pm on Tuesday 30th June.
Nick is the author of the very successful DCI Henry Christie crime novels. He was born in Belthorn, Lancashire. He became a police officer at the age of 19, before retiring in 2005.
