**📢 Appeal for Directors – Picture Penzance CIC**
Picture Penzance CIC is seeking individuals with an interest in local history, heritage, and community projects to join us as Directors.
This is a **voluntary but important role**, helping to guide and support the development of Picture Penzance as a trusted and respected digital archive and resource centre for the history of Penzance and West Cornwall.
As a Director, you will:
* Provide oversight and direction to the CIC
* Support decision-making to ensure the project grows sustainably
* Help maintain standards, integrity, and community focus
* Play a part in shaping a long-term historical resource for future generations
This role does require a **genuine level of commitment and responsibility**. While it is not day-to-day operational work, it is a **serious governance position** and carries legal responsibilities under company law.
If you have **previously been involved with Picture Penzance**, we would particularly welcome your application — your experience and understanding of the project would be highly valued.
We are looking for individuals who:
* Have an interest in history, heritage, or community work
* Can offer balanced judgement and constructive input
* Are willing to contribute time occasionally for meetings and decisions
