🚍 It was great to stop in past the Better Buses drop-in, to hear how franchising puts bus services into the hands of communities and out of the hands of private companies.

💨 I visited the Nadara Wind Farm in Boyndie, to get a tour of the site and speak about Nadara’s work!

🤝 It was great to learn about their community initiatives and speak about how we ensure that the local area sees the benefit of any infrastructure. This is important to me and I’ll always try to ensure your voices are heard.

The First Minister John Swinney has set out the Scottish Government's Programme for Government, and I welcome the commitment to public service reform, so services can deliver for our people and not the institutions.

We have the chance to build a stronger economy, increase living standards, eradicate child poverty and provide more support to households in a cost of living crisis.

We'll tackle violence against women and girls at it's cause, and build a more cohesive Scotland.

The SNP is on Scotland's side, and we're here to deliver for you.

🫶🏻 It was fantastic to visit the team at Cornerstone Craigewan, and get a tour of their fantastic place!

🗣️ I also met with Tony, who is an Associate Director, and we spoke about Cornerstone’s work and how we can ensure that carers and support workers get the assistance and recognition they deserve. Thank you to all carers and healthcare workers for what you do!

🌟 It was great to talk with staff and service users and see what a day at Craigewan is like! Thank you for your time, it was much appreciated!

🏦 It was great to catch up with Elliot at Nationwide in Peterhead, to talk about their customer and community initiatives!

🧏🏻 I was pleased to see that the branch have Speak Easy Cards, a text relay service and a BSL interpreting service which is available by scanning the in branch QR code, because everyone should be able to have independent access to banking services.

💷 Importantly, Nationwide also run a handy scam checker service, so you can visit your nearest branch and ensure any payments are legit. I’d encourage people to utilise this service to give them peace of mind when banking!

📲 Your branch can also help you set up your phone and online banking, so please ask about digital lessons if this would be beneficial.

🤝 Thank you to Elliot and Nationwide for their time, I always appreciate hearing how businesses are giving back to the communities they operate in!

The Seafit Programme, a joint initiative between the Seafarers Hospital Society & Fishermen's Mission and delivered in partnership with Live Life Aberdeenshire is heading to and this September, bringing together a fantastic range of organisations to support the health and wellbeing of seafarers and their families.

👨🏼‍⚕️ I met with Doug and the team at Macduff Pharmacy to discuss issues facing the sector and how I can help.

💊 Pharmacies are a crucial part of our healthcare infrastructure, particularly in rural communities like ours, and I want to ensure that pharmacies get the support they need to continue to serve our communities.

🤝 We spoke about the number of services pharmacies offer that many people don’t know about. They can help with vaccinations, contraception, stopping smoking and treating minor illnesses and ailments. Please speak to your pharmacy if you have questions about their services.
