It will help ensure the right development happens in the right place at the right time, in both Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent.
The joint plan will seek to resolve inequalities across the joint plan area benefitting communities and the economy and setting out which areas need to be protected.

🏖️🌊 Torfaen Flying Start’s 20th anniversary celebrations continue tomorrow with a beach-themed family fun day!

Join the Early Years team at Cwmbran Integrated Children’s Centre, 10am to 2pm, for sand and water play, seaside crafts and beach games.

👒 Dress little ones in waterproof or beach-style clothing so they can enjoy all the fun.

Re-lining works

There will be limited parking available at Riverside Car Park on Sundays throughout August (9, 16, 23 and 30) while re-lining works are carried out on parking bays, walkways and crossings.

The top gates off Osborne Road will remain open, with parking available on the top level of the car park.

Thank you to the Pontypool Taskforce for arranging these improvements to the car park and surrounding area.

After a prolonged period of hot, dry weather and several wildfires across South Wales, we're urging everyone to help reduce the risk of further fires.

Please do not light any fires in the open, including:
🔥 Controlled burns
🔥 BBQs, whether disposable or in your garden
🔥 Garden or waste fires
🔥 Campfires or any other outdoor flames

Dry grass, vegetation and woodland can ignite in seconds, allowing fires to spread rapidly and put communities, wildlife and emergency services at risk.

By avoiding outdoor fires and taking extra care, you can help prevent further incidents and keep our communities safe.
