Today, there's only one candidate that's on your side.

I am standing because I believe Poole deserves a local representative who is 100% on your side โ€“ not someone following a national party script, using our local council as a playground for national politics.

โœ๐Ÿป If elected to Poole Town Council, I have pledged to:

1. Champion Poole: I will fight for better maintenance of our streets and parks, alongside support for ourlocal economy.

2. Oppose unfair tax hikes and Councillor pay rises: I will challenge wasteful spending and keep thefocus on essential services that make Poole a better place to live, work and raise a family.

3. Always listen and be accountable: With me, you will always have the honest attention of a neighbour who understands our local issues firsthand.

Unlike others on the ballot paper, I have also made clear that I won't take a penny if elected to Poole Town Council.

If you want a representative who really cares about the area WE live in, then please lend me your vote TODAY ๐Ÿ—ณ

๐Ÿ“ฐ Let's keep local elections about local issues.

My campaign has been focused on accountability, transparency, and addressing local issues with honesty.

National parties, especially the Lib Dems that run BCP Council and pushed forward the creation of these new town council elections at a cost of close to ยฃ1million, have disappointingly tried to turn these elections into a referendum on politicians in Westminster.

I'm focused on the local issues.

We need better maintenance of our streets and parks, alongside support for ourlocal economy.

I'll oppose unfair tax hikes and Councillor pay rises, challenge wasteful spending and keep thefocus on essential services that make Poole a better place to live, work and raise a family.

I'm pleased that on the eve of these local elections, Bournemouth Daily Echo have given a local independent candidate, that's on your side, some coverage.

An independent candidate running for election to Poole Town Council has said he is โ€œfed up with seeing the steady decline of our townโ€

Before you vote this Thursday, I have one question for you...

Have any of the national parties fielding candidates actually outlined a vision for Poole Town Council?

Personally, I find it shocking that the party who brought forward these elections, at a cost of close to ยฃ1million to the local taxpayer, ignoring the results of a public consultation (74% against) in the process, can't name a single service they would run.

We used to see political parties standing to take over the administration of a local council proposing at least a 4 point plan, sometimes even a full manifesto. But we've had nothing from the parties standing, other than obsessing over national politicians in Westminster.

It's clear they're not serious about running local services and they want to avoid any accountability.

I am standing because I believe Poole deserves a local representative who is 100% on your side โ€“ not someone following a national party script, using our local council as a playground for national politics.

Unlike other candidates standing, Ashley has publicly committed that he won't take a penny if elected as your Councillor for Poole Town Council. He has exposed how the Lib Dems standing here prioritised an inflation busting pay rise of 9% for themselves, and an extra 26% for their leader, on BCP Council last year.

Meanwhile they said there was no money to fund a celebration for the 80th anniversary of VE Day in Poole or for Armed Forces Day this year.

We don't need career politicians that pose for pictures with potholes, we need Councillors that actually get them reported and prioritised.

When this election campaign started, the Lib Dems put out leaflets with pictures of themselves posing with potholes claiming to be "getting things done locally", but only 3 potholes were visibly reported in our area. Within 2 weeks Ashley had reported close to 40! and found streets where the potholes had been left neglected for years.

Ashley lives metres, not miles, away.
As a Parent Governor of a local infant school and a father of one (with another on the way very soon!), Ashley is invested in the future of our area, with a desire to make it better.

The Lib Dems on BCP Council say they support our veterans, BUT when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is, the support seems to vanish. ๐Ÿ˜ถโ€๐ŸŒซ๏ธ

Councillors from the current administration are happy to pose for photos at Remembrance parades, claiming to support them. Yet, they have FAILED to fund an Armed Forces Day celebration in Poole this year.

Last year, they FAILED to fund a meaningful celebration for the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.

What did they prioritise instead?
๐Ÿค‘ Giving themselves a 9% pay rise.
๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ Increasing their leaderโ€™s allowance by 26%!
๐Ÿฆ Bringing forward new parish council elections costing ยฃ1million.

Itโ€™s easy to promise support on a leaflet, but real commitment means funding the events that honour those who serve and have served our country.

Our veterans, serving armed forces personell, and their families deserve more than just "lip service." They deserve a council that respects our heritage and properly funds the traditions that bring our community together. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

As a Local Independent, I believe our priorities should be clear: Respect for our veterans and support for our cultural and community events must come before inflation busting pay hikes for career politicians.

What would you prioritise in Poole?

The Lib Dems on BCP, now standing for Poole Town Council chose to spend your money on:
๐Ÿค‘ Voting themselves a 9% pay rise,
๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ Increasing their leaderโ€™s allowance by 26%!
๐Ÿฆ Bringing forward new parish council elections costing ยฃ1million, ignoring the results of a public consultation (74% against) in the process.
๐Ÿšฒ New cycle lanes over repairing pothole ridden streets.

I say "give the money back!"
โ›น Put the kids first.
๐Ÿ•ณ Repair our streets.
๐ŸŽ– Honour our armed forces and cultural calendar.

The Lib Dems running BCP council are FAILING to make the grade ๐Ÿ“โŒ

As a Local Independent, Iโ€™m not interested in the national playground politics of career politicians. I want to get back to a council that actually works - one that passes its exams in common sense and fiscal responsibility.

On May 7th, you have the power to send them home.

Give Lib Dem Councillors a pay-rise OR Celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day?

In Poole, the Lib Dems have a strong "Record of Action" when it comes to awarding themselves pay-rises above the rate of inflation.

If elected to Poole Town Council I won't take a penny, and I'll make sure our cultural calendar isn't an afterthought. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

On Thursday 7th May, vote for the local independent candidate that's on your side.

Is it just me, or are the weeds in the garden growing as fast as the Lib Dem councillorsโ€™ pay rises? ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“ˆ

While weโ€™re all working hard to keep our neighbourhoods looking good, the costs just keep piling up.

Take our Garden Waste Bins. In 2023, they cost ยฃ60. Now? Theyโ€™ve shot up to ยฃ71.

Thatโ€™s an 18% increase.

As a local independent, I believe we need to stop treating residents like an open cheque book. We need to cut the waste and bin the Lib Dems.
