Every Day Gourmet Supper Club

Every Day Gourmet Supper Club Hosted by Naz (food & travel writer, feeder & self confessed glutton) Every Day Gourmet supper clubs will take place regularly throughout the year in Poole

What's a supper club? A supper club is where enthusiastic talented home cooks open up their homes to strangers in order to feed them. A bit like a pop-up restaurant. Guests pay a donation towards their fare and can bring their own alcohol to drink with their meal. It's a great way to meet new friends who share in passion for good food. About Every Day Gourmet Supper Clubs:

If when I say "food mad

e with love" you know where I am coming from then this is the supper club for you. I'm all about big bold flavours, seasonal ingredients and a warm welcome. My inspiration is my North African heritage and food tasted on my many travels and I want to share my passion for great food with appreciative people. I believe there is no excuse for even one poor mouthful and I'm on a mission to make every day, just a little bit gourmet. Join me and my partner Norbert for a supper club evening you will (hopefully) never forget. Thank you

Naz

Vegetarians look away now. Whilst in Berlin at the emporium of sandwich heaven that is Mogg & Melzer I couldn't choose between the pulled pork or the salt beef so we had to have both. Do you blame me?

So tonight I'm making Braq, Libyan stuffed vine leaves with the fresh leaves I picked up in Jordan. Stuffed with spiced minced lamb, onions, rice & fresh coriander. They are quite simply delicious so we call them "Just one more's" ... They should be called "don't last long's!"

Here's how to roll the perfect stuffed vine leaf.

So my first North African Supperclub was a hit!

Lentil & cumin soup, followed by houmous, tabbouleh, baba ghanaoush, home made yoghurt cheese and chermoula (fresh tomato, green chilli & garlic).

A main course of tender lamb in a spiced tomato and coriander sauce with giant egg pasta shells.

Finally to finish leche merengada ( egg white, cinnamon & lemon ice-cream) with date, orange, pomegranate & orange blossom water.

It was hard work but worth it!

Just landed in uk after a whirlwind gastronomic tour of Jordan. Excited about tomorrow's Supperclub!
