🎉 Congratulations to Maxine Booth Isherwood, Registered Manager of Nightingale Care Home, who has won our Operational Leadership/Registered Manager of the Month Award for October!

Maxine has transformed the home, with her leadership and dedication making a positive difference to residents and team members alike.

Her achievements were also recognised at our recent Agincare Heroes Awards 2026, where she was a finalist for Registered Manager of the Year.

We are immensely proud to have fantastic leaders like Maxine leading our teams and championing high-quality care.

40 years in the making. One extraordinary story.

We’re incredibly excited to premiere our Agincare 40th anniversary film here on social media!

From one care home in Weymouth to one of the country’s largest independent, family-owned care providers, this film celebrates the people, memories and milestones that have shaped our journey.

It all began in 1986, when our Founder and Chairman, Derek Luckhurst, opened Agincourt Care Home. Four decades later, thousands of team members have helped turn that ambition into care and support that makes a difference to people across the country.

Featuring treasured family photographs, personal memories and heartfelt reflections from our team members, the film brings our story to life. There are achievements, challenges, plenty of laughter and some emotional moments along the way.

We gave guests a first look at our recent Agincare Heroes Awards 2026, where it was met with laughter, tears and an enormous sense of pride. Now, we can’t wait for you to see it too.

To everyone who has played a part in our story, thank you. This is your celebration too.

Congratulations to Procurement Officer Hannah Haynes on being crowned our Head Office Employee of the Month for October!

Hannah is approaching her first anniversary with Agincare and, in that relatively short time, has become an integral and highly valued member of our Procurement Team.

Since joining, Hannah has quickly taken ownership of several high-value contracts, demonstrating professionalism, commitment and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.

Through this she has built excellent relationships with key suppliers and across our nationwide care services, strengthening partnerships that deliver value across the organisation.

Drawing on her previous hospitality experience, Hannah has brought valuable knowledge and expertise to the role, putting her skills to use in ways that have made a real difference.

Hannah consistently demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Her hard work has made a lasting impression on both the Procurement Team and the wider organisation, making her a thoroughly deserving recipient of this recognition.

Tickets are now live for The Family Journey After Injury

We are pleased to invite professionals from across the health, legal and care sector to join us for the next seminar in Agincare’s Complex Injury Partnerships Programme.

Taking place at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on Wednesday 11th November, the seminar will explore the experiences of families following a life-changing injury and the support they need throughout the journey from hospital to home and beyond.

The day will be an opportunity to hear different perspectives, share experiences and connect with professionals working across the complex injury sector, while considering how we can work better together to support individuals and their families.

World Mental Health Day 2026

This year's World Mental Health Day theme is 'Lived experiences: real voices, real change.' It's a reminder that every voice matters and that understanding someone's experiences is an important part of providing the right support.

At Agincare, we know that care is about more than meeting someone's needs. It's about getting to know the person, understanding what matters to them and making sure they feel heard, valued and supported.

We provide specialist mental health care both at home and in our care homes, supporting people with individual needs to live well and as independently as possible. We understand the importance of listening to each person, respecting their experiences and providing support that works for them.

With a 5,500 strong workforce supporting people across 200 locations, the wellbeing and happiness of our teams will also be a priority too. We continue to invest in resources and support to help our colleagues look after their mental health, recognising the importance of caring for those who care for others.

Let's keep checking in with each other, taking the time to listen and offering support when it's needed.

Following our Agincare Heroes Awards 2026, we are continuing to thank the sponsors who helped make the day possible, this time with a big thank you to Howden Insurance

We were delighted to welcome Daniel Marshall from Howden Insurance to our award celebrations, where he joined us in recognising the incredible achievements of colleagues from across Agincare.

Howden Insurance sponsored our Nurse of the Year award, celebrating dedication, compassion and expertise of the nurses who support the people we care for every day.

Congratulations to Akeema Man, who was named Nurse of the Year. It was wonderful to celebrate her achievements and recognise the difference she makes through he care, commitment and expertise.

Today, we celebrated the official opening of Hazlemere Lodge Care Home and marked one year of Agincare’s partnership with Buckinghamshire Council.

We were pleased to welcome residents, their families and Council representatives to the event.

Hazlemere Lodge resident and proud 100-year-old naval veteran Brian Brown cut the ribbon alongside Agincare Group CEO Raina Summerson, Director Adam Luckhurst, Cllr Councillor Carol Heap of Buckinghamshire Council, and care workers Moses and Ibikunle.

In 2025, Buckinghamshire Council appointed Agincare as the care provider at four care homes across the county: The Chestnuts in Aylesbury, The Croft in Amersham, Hazlemere Lodge in High Wycombe and Swan House in Winslow.

The partnership also includes three on-site extra care independent living schemes: Willowmead Court at The Chestnuts, St James Court at Hazlemere Lodge and Swan Court at Swan House.

The opening follows an extensive refurbishment programme at Hazlemere Lodge.

We would like to thank Registered Manager Gemma Janczyk and the entire team for their dedication throughout this period and for the care they provide to residents every day.
