👶📢 PARENTS, I REALLY WANT YOUR HONEST THOUGHTS ON THIS… 👇
Reform say they want to “support families”, but what they have publicly suggested about the two child benefit cap raises serious questions. Nigel Farage has said any lifting of the cap would apply only to British parents working full time rather than everyone with children. That would limit support to a very narrow group and leave many families out.
That might sound simple, but real life is not.
Most families affected by the two child limit do not fit the “two full time workers” box. Many have one parent working part time because childcare costs are too high. Many juggle caring responsibilities, disabilities, zero hour contracts or irregular shifts. Many rely on some benefit support because work is not stable or full time.
This is where the policy looks fundamentally flawed.
Not every immigrant claims benefits, which is something we should be honest about rather than generalise. Not every British parent can work 37 hours a week. And children do not choose their parents’ working patterns. Punishing children for that is harsh to say the least.
So I really want to hear from parents:
If you are on benefits, or you and your partner both work part time, do you genuinely feel voting Reform is in your family’s best interests?
Their promises on cutting taxes and supporting pubs are one thing. But without a realistic plan that helps families in the real world, lots of parents and children could still be left struggling while only a small group benefit.
It feels like a plan designed to help a few while ignoring how most families actually live.
Parents, what do you think?
