🎶 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙠𝙚𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙮! 🎶

What a brilliant afternoon at Blue Flamingo Cafe in Penwortham today! 💜💛

At one point, pretty much the whole room came together for the Okey Cokey — and considering some of those joining in were living with mobility challenges, it was lovely to see everyone supporting one another so that almost everybody could be part of the circle. 🥰

From ROS we had Karen & Sandra, Louise & Joyce, Joey & Dorothy, Sue & Kath, Chris & Kath, and Anne & Annette all getting involved and judging by the Reel, nobody was getting away with sitting this one out! 😂💃

It was such a busy, happy afternoon and a wonderful reminder that getting out, having fun and feeling included can make such a difference.

A huge thank you, as always, to the fantastic team at Blue Flamingo for making everyone so welcome. ☀️

Today feels like the perfect day to officially introduce Sue, who joined the 𝙍𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 team in 2025 because it also happens to be her birthday! 💜💛

Since joining ROS, Sue has already made a lovely difference to the lives of so many of our clients. With her warm, friendly nature and great sense of humour, she has built some wonderful relationships and is always ready to brighten someone’s day.

Whether she’s out and about with a client, enjoying a chat over a cuppa or simply providing a bit of company, Sue has a real knack for putting people at ease and bringing a smile to their face.

We’re really pleased to have Sue as part of the ROS team and we hope she has a very Happy Birthday today! 🎂☀️

🌿 𝘼 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙩 🌿

Joey recently enjoyed a wonderful day out with Linda and her husband, Graham, at the New Walled Garden, Worden Park.

While Graham spent some time lending a hand to the lovely Emily from A Good Day, Karen and Linda enjoyed a gentle stroll around the beautiful park, taking in the fresh air, peaceful surroundings and enjoying a good catch-up along the way.

A Good Day does fantastic work creating meaningful activities, helping people stay connected, build confidence and enjoy new experiences. Projects like these are so important in bringing people together and helping to reduce loneliness within our communities, and we’re always delighted to support local organisations that share the same values as 𝙍𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 💜

Days like these remind us that companionship isn’t always about grand plans – sometimes it’s simply spending time outdoors, meeting wonderful people and making the most of the world around us.

Today we’re celebrating our four-legged friends and the very special kind of companionship they bring. 🐾

Dogs have an amazing way of making us smile, keeping us company and simply making a day that little bit brighter often without doing very much at all!

What a fantastic time was had by everyone at the latest Magic Moments Memory Choir Disco! 🎶💃

There was plenty of music, dancing, laughter and smiling faces throughout the afternoon. It was wonderful to see our lovely clients Lynn & Briony enjoying the fun alongside Joey and Anita – creating more special memories together.

Groups like the Memory Choir provide so much more than music. They bring people together, encourage friendships, boost confidence and offer a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy themselves.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making it such a memorable event. We can’t wait for the next one! 💜

Our lovely client Carole has enjoyed not one, but two visits to the beautiful Yarrow Valley Country Park with Amy. 💜

One of Carole’s favourite spots is the peaceful pond, where she loves to sit, take in the wildlife and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. So much so, she’s even used photographs from her visits as inspiration for her watercolour paintings at her art class. 🎨🦆

It’s wonderful to see how a simple day out in nature can inspire creativity, encourage conversation and create lasting memories.

☕ 𝘼 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘 ☕

Our lovely Barbara recently enjoyed a trip into Preston with Christine B, including a visit to one of the city’s best-known cafés Bruccianis Café Preston on Fishergate. 💜

And there’s a little bit of history behind this particular coffee stop! Dating back to 1932, Brucciani’s has been part of Preston for more than 90 years and is still known for its wonderful old-fashioned character and period Italian café interior. ☕️

For many local people, places like Brucciani’s hold memories stretching back years, which makes them particularly lovely places to revisit.

A nice trip into town, a bite to eat and some good company — sometimes you can’t beat the classics. 🥰
