As part of my Croydon Means Business initiative, we are bringing local businesses without a permanent shopfront into Centrale Shopping Centre on Small Business Saturday, 5 December.

We are giving 10 local entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their products, attract new customers and boost sales at our Christmas pop-up market.

Croydon already has more small and medium-sized businesses than Birmingham or Manchester, and I want to build on that success by helping even more local businesses start, grow and thrive.

This is a fantastic opportunity to test the high street, reach new customers and take that next step.

There are just 10 spaces available, so do not miss out!

Labour’s debt, Britain's bill.

⚠️ The reckless economic decisions being made by Labour today will impact the lives of millions to come.

Our grandchildren shouldn't be picking up the benefits bill from 2 generations ago.

🌳 Only The Conservatives have provided sound and measured policy to get our economy back on track.

After months of dithering and delay, Conservative pressure has finally forced Labour to approve Jackdaw.

This should be the start, not the end. Labour must approve Rosebank, end the ban on new drilling licences, and scrap the Energy Profits Levy

Labour is raising taxes at the fastest pace in the Western world, according to the IMF.

New forecasts show that repeated raids on households and businesses will push Britain’s tax burden to a peacetime high of 41.9pc of the GDP by the start of the next parliament.

See how it could impact certain industries ⤵️

Labour’s revived Help to Buy scheme has been “designed for Manchester, not the whole country”, a major industry body has warned.

Last night at Cabinet we approved a consultation on renewing the Thornton Heath Public Spaces Protection Order for a further three years.

Our existing PSPOs in Thornton Heath and the town centre give our enforcement teams extra powers to tackle anti-social behaviour, and I want to build on that progress.

We also approved consultation on introducing PSPOs in Crystal Palace, Norbury, Addiscombe, Purley, Coulsdon, Selsdon, New Addington and South Norwood, as well as across our parks and open spaces.

Alongside visible Parkguard patrols, these proposed new powers would help us tackle anti-social behaviour wherever it occurs - whether on our streets or in our parks - making our public spaces safer and more welcoming for everyone.

It is all part of my zero-tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour, helping residents and communities reclaim their public spaces and restore pride in Croydon.
