Manston Parish Council have today (1 June 2026) received the following email from RSP:

"RiverOak Strategic Partners Limited (‘RSP’) is working to redevelop and reopen Manston Airport as an air freight hub.

RSP’s Stage 3 airspace change consultation is now at the mid-way point and will run until Monday 22nd June 2026, following this date we will no longer be accepting feedback. The consultation is providing residents, communities and wider stakeholders with details of proposed changes to flight paths and airspace structure.

The consultation has several aspects to it, including a dedicated website where materials and proposals can be viewed and responses submitted: https://consultations.airspacechange.co.uk/manston-airport/manston-airport-consultation/.

We have been running a series of in-person and online engagement events. The first of these took place on April 22nd in Ramsgate, the second of these took place in Herne Bay on April 25th. We also hosted two virtual events. The first of these took place on April 28th and the second took place on May 6th. In addition to being able to provide feedback at the consultation events, stakeholders can still provide feedback by the online portal or by printing the questionnaire and posting it to our Freepost address (FREEPOST 1616).

To ensure all stakeholders are aware of the consultation, we have advertised via the local press in the Isle of Thanet News, KentOnline, and Thanet Extra, on social media, via Nextdoor, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, and X and with physical posters across Herne Bay, Ramsgate and Margate.

The consultation is being run in accordance with airspace change standards governed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). All progress regarding the consultation and wider airspace change process is available to view on the CAA’s online portal: https://airspacechange.caa.co.uk/PublicProposalArea?pID=112.

Following the conclusion of the consultation period, we will be in touch to inform you of the next steps of the process.

Yours sincerely,

Owen.

We’re disappointed to report damage to the newly repaired goal areas in Manston Park after barriers were removed and the space used too soon. This sets back the improvements we’re working hard to deliver.
Please help us look after the park by respecting temporary closures and encouraging others to do the same. Together we can keep Manston Park a space everyone can enjoy

Goal Post Replacement Works Underway in Manston Park:

Manston Parish Council is currently replacing the old, damaged goal posts and nets in Manston Park. As part of these improvements, the goal mouths are being levelled and re‑seeded to ensure a safer and better playing surface.

To allow the new grass to establish, the area will remain cordoned off for a few weeks. During this time, the goals will not be available for use.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these works take place and look forward to providing improved facilities for everyone to enjoy.
