We re-open tomorrow.

☀️ Please make sure, if you’re visiting us over the next few days, stay hydrated, take the stairs slowly, wear hats & sun cream.

🏰 We are pleased to announce that (a week ahead of plan) Rochester Castle will re-open to the public on Wednesday 24 June from 10am.

Safety for visitors and staff is our top priority, so we appreciate your patience during this time. A step inside the 900-year-old keep has been repaired with support from a specialist stonemason ⛑️🧱

We can't wait for you all to continue exploring the castle!

An update on Upnor Castle’s opening times.

English Heritage have now assumed management of Upnor Castle.

The site will be open for tours on the last Sunday of every month, bookable via the English Heritage website.

Bookable tours will be available from Sunday, 31 May 2026.

Busy sorting my stuff for Rochester Castle next weekend, nice to be indoors for a change so no concerns about the weather, it also means I can bring out all my shiny things 😊
