Official RDP Statement - Please Share

We would like to thank everyone, candidates, voters, and supporters for all the help we have received. No one saw the result coming and it’s difficult to understand when The Conservatives seemed to have done nothing locally but hopefully, they will do enough to change that perception.

Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to establish a strong enough identity that people could relate to at a national level. What has become apparent however is that Labour still does not get it.

They have already started internal fighting even suggesting a return to a Corbyn agenda. Locally they chose to spread malicious and slanderous nonsense about the RDP being all EX-UKIP when the vast majority of our party are new candidates. It seemed they were more interested in throwing mud than showing how they want to solve issues which is unsurprising.

One thing we will promise you however is that we will continue to do what we can to oppose HS2, clean up Rotherham, bring new business and improve the lives of our local youth.
