If you’re coming to this Sunday’s Hope United v Brookvale Albion match at Ruskin Drive, St Helens WA10 6RP (3pm kick-off), we’d be grateful for your support.

👟 We will be collecting football boots in used and good condition, both children’s and adult sizes. We support people from across our St Helens community and will make sure every donation finds a good home.

🥫 We will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the amazing St Helens Borough Mobile Pantry. Alongside our matchday sponsors Halton & St Helens Voluntary and Community Action and the Food Alliance, they do incredible work supporting local people facing hardship.

Libraries should be places of learning, openness and inclusion — not political censorship.

St Helens Labour has condemned the Reform-led council administration’s decision to withdraw books from library displays, warning that it risks undermining the role libraries play in supporting diverse voices, education and free access to information.

This comes alongside the administration’s decision to withdraw council support for important community events such as Pride and Refugee Week — events that celebrate inclusion, diversity and the values that make St Helens a welcoming borough for everyone.

Our libraries belong to everyone in our community and should remain welcoming spaces for all residents.

🌈 Proud to stand with our community at St Helens Pride 2026 🌈

What an incredible celebration of love, equality, inclusion and community spirit at this year’s St Helens Pride.

It was fantastic to see so many people come together at The World Of Glass to celebrate diversity and show that St Helens is a borough where everyone should feel safe, welcome and proud to be themselves.

A huge thank you to Miguel & Emma, the organisers, volunteers, performers, stallholders and everyone behind the scenes who worked so hard to make the event such a success.

We were proud to attend, support and celebrate alongside our amazing local LGBTQ+ community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat, shared a smile and helped make the day so special.
