⚠️Newcome Drive – Emergency Pothole Repair ⚠️
We’re really concerned about the condition of Newcome Drive, with Councillor Teresa Pepper pushing for funding for a full resurfacing of the street.

Last night, we were made aware of this large pothole. We escalated it immediately and an emergency repair crew will be on site today to make it safe. There may be some minor traffic disruption while the works take place.

We completely get people’s frustrations about potholes. A number of roads locally are approaching the end of their lifespan (national funding was cut in the mid 2010s under the Tories and only came back last year), and we’re continuing to push for investment — including proposed full resurfacing works on Peel Lane/Mort Lane later this year.

We’re reporting potholes whenever we spot them, but please keep sending us photos and locations and we’ll make sure they’re raised.

💚 A heartfelt shout-out from Heads Up Gentlemen 💚
On behalf of myself personally and the entire Heads Up Gentlemen team 🤝, I would like to give a sincere and public thank you to Teresa Pepper 👏 for her continued support, guidance, and unwavering commitment to our community 🏘️.
Teresa, Rob & Tony: Little Hulton Councillors is a local councillor 🌹, and what many people may not realise is that much of the work she carries out across the community is unpaid and voluntary ❤️. She gives her time freely ⏰, often working late into the evening — sometimes well past midnight 🌙 — supporting residents 🧑‍🤝‍🧑, advocating for those in need 🛡️, and collaborating with organisations such as Heads Up Gentlemen 💚 to ensure people are not left without help or a voice 🗣️.
This level of dedication comes purely from compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve others 🤍. Community work of this nature often goes unnoticed, yet it is absolutely vital 🧱. Councillor Teresa Pepper consistently goes above and beyond 🚀, quietly working in the background to make sure the right conversations are happening and the right support is being put in place 🔗.
We believe it’s important that people recognise the personal time, energy, and care she invests for the benefit of our community 🙌. From all of us at Heads Up Gentlemen — thank you, Teresa 💚. Your commitment does not go unseen, and our community is stronger because of it 💪🌍.

A few people have reported a burnt out vehicle on Ambelcote playing fields .
I just wanted to let you know that it has now been removed . It took a little time because a tractor was needed to move it

We are very aware of the disruption that has been caused by the unauthorised Traveller encampments on Madams Wood Road. Whilst we respect all ways of life they need to be conducted in a way that is respectful to others. When we met with you in September we heard you loud and clear and started work immediately on securing funding to install measures to prevent further issues. We’re very pleased to tell you that funding is now secured and the work has been put out to tender so that work can begin once the exercise is complete . The process of choosing contractors at local councils is defined by law to ensure that the spending of public funds is properly scrutinised. This means that it may take a little longer than you’d expect . We just wanted to reassure you that it is happening . We will keep you updated as things progress .
As always please contact us if you need any further information.

Let’s get North Walkden FC a home fit for the future!

Thank you to everyone who’s signed and supported our campaign to give North Walkden FC a proper home.

This shows the huge support in our community for a new 4G pitch and sports facility right here in Walkden — a place where kids, families and players of all ages can enjoy football in a safe, local space.

Let’s keep the momentum going — our next goal is 1,000 signatures!
