KEIR MATHER IS GAMBLING WITH OUR COASTAL SAFETY! 🌊⚠️

Our local MP, Keir “Career” Mather, and this Labour Government are now turning their backs on our brave Coastguard Rescue Officers.

For years, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) operated a system that called these men and women “volunteers” while paying them for call-outs and training. The Court of Appeal ruled that they were, in law, workers when carrying out those duties and were therefore entitled to employment rights.

Instead of building a fair, sustainable system that recognises the vital work these emergency responders do, Keir Mather accepted the MCA’s recommendation to remove hourly payments altogether and move to a volunteer model with expenses only.

The consequences could be severe.

Leaked surveys and union warnings suggest that many Coastguard Rescue Officers are considering leaving or reducing their availability if these changes go ahead. Reports indicate that more than half of officers in Yorkshire and Humberside could reduce their hours or leave altogether. (The Times)

If experienced coastguards walk away, who will respond when people are swept out to sea? Who will search for missing children? Who will rescue families in danger along our coastline?

Keir Mather should be standing up for these dedicated emergency responders, not endorsing a policy that many fear will damage recruitment, retention and operational resilience all for his own political career gain.

Our coast deserves better. Our rescue teams deserve better. And the British public deserve better.

Nothing was stolen from Ann Widdecombe’s home.

A 78-year-old woman was bludgeoned to death in her remote Dartmoor house and the killer took nothing. No robbery. No burglary.

So what was the motive?

Ann Widdecombe wasn’t a random pensioner. She was a former government minister, a fierce and unapologetic voice in Reform UK, and their Immigration and Justice Spokesperson.

She spent years speaking out against mass immigration, gender ideology, and the erosion of British identity.
Now she’s dead in her own home and police are already telling the media there’s “no information” to suggest a political motive.

When a high-profile conservative figure is murdered and nothing is taken, every possibility including political must be properly investigated.

REFORM CANVASSING CLIFFE 🇬🇧

Yesterday, the Reform UK Selby team, alongside local Reform councillor for Cliffe & North Duffield, Councillor Karl Arthur were out in Cliffe speaking with residents—and we received a superb response.

Many residents were pleased to see Reform UK and their local councillor on the doorstep, being proactive, listening to their concerns, and directly addressing and recording their needs.

The reality is that Reform UK Selby is now, by far, the largest party in Selby in terms of membership, activists, and consistent ground campaign presence—and we’ve achieved all of this in less than two years.

That tells you everything you need to know about the complacent Labour and Conservative parties locally.

The biggest issues raised with us were solar and housing overdevelopment, high taxation, and immigration. These are issues we will continue to push hard on your behalf.

The 2027 North Yorkshire Council local elections are where it all changes.

It’s your chance to be heard rather than ignored by politicians who think they know better. Your chance for real change. Your chance for a genuine patriotic alternative and a fresh approach to local issues, rather than more of the failed status quo.

Vote Reform UK Selby in 2027 for real local change. 🇬🇧🩵🙏🏻

Because Britain is broken, and Selby needs Reform!

Ann was part of the Reform family. It’s important that we all come together to ensure she gets the truth and justice she deserves.

The Burnham They Don’t Want You to Remember

The media is currently busy polishing Andy Burnham into their new "Northern Poster Boy."

They call him the “King of the North,” the “reasonable voice,” and the “safe pair of hands.”

But don’t let the PR machine rewrite history. This isn't the Burnham we actually lived through.

The "Safe Pair of Hands" who wasn't there when it mattered:

Remember his time as Health Secretary?
It wasn't a triumph—it was the era of the Mid Staffordshire hospital scandal. While hundreds of patients were dying in horrific, neglected conditions, Burnham was the man with oversight. Families of the victims felt the inquiry he commissioned was a shield, not a solution.

The leadership test he failed—twice:

Burnham isn't a fresh face; he’s a career politician on his third attempt at the top.

In 2010, his own party rejected him.

In 2015, they rejected him again, preferring Jeremy Corbyn.

Twice he stood under the glare of national scrutiny, and twice he was found wanting by the very people who knew him best.

The "Manchester Record" that doesn't hold up:

The media likes to ignore what happened on his watch in Greater Manchester. Let’s look at the facts:

Policing: Greater Manchester Police was forced into "Special Measures" by the national watchdog for failing to record 80,000 crimes.

Grooming Gangs:
Despite the reviews he commissioned, critics—including former police whistleblowers—have pointed out that he acted too late and failed to confront the systemic rot that allowed these gangs to operate.

If any other politician had this track record of failure, the media would be calling for their resignation. Instead, Burnham gets the "velvet glove" treatment, while genuine challengers get the fist.

We deserve a Prime Minister who has proven themselves through real achievement, not one who has been airbrushed into relevance.

If he thinks he’s ready for No. 10, he needs to stop hiding behind regional titles and call a General Election.

Let the people decide, not the media.
