So pleased! 😍🦉

We have been waiting for Elton the Spectacled Owl to start to moult his flight feathers for the past two years, today is the first, despite having done a transformation of baby feathers already 🐣🪶

For the last couple of months he has been resting with lots of extra food, in the hope that his full flight feathers will begin. Spectacled Owls can take up to 5 years to reach full adult plumage, but fingers crossed more follow soon! 👏

We still have a painted framed gift for Sir Elton John planned, as a thanks for what he did for us 🎨

A great afternoon walk in the field 😍

Im still resting and moulting at the moment and eating lots of food, so not interested in flying. To keep me happy and in routine we have nice walks around the fields to see everything in the countryside 🐮🐏🚜
