Job Opportunity – Apprentice Butcher

📍 8 Minard Road, Shawlands, Glasgow, G41 2HN
We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Butcher to join our team at our Shawlands store.
This role would be ideal for a school leaver or someone local to the Shawlands area who is looking to start a long-term career in the butchery trade.
No previous experience is required, as full training will be given. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn on the job while working towards completing a recognised apprenticeship.
The right person must have:

✅ Good people skills and confidence speaking with customers
✅ A strong work ethic
✅ Good timekeeping and reliability
✅ A positive attitude as part of a busy team
The role will involve learning all aspects of traditional butchery, food preparation, counter service, customer care, hygiene standards, stock handling and day-to-day shop duties.
Hours:
35 hours per week
Monday to Saturday, with one day off during the week
This position would suit someone who lives locally and is ready to build a proper career with a growing, award-winning family butcher.
