During the summer holidays, we hosted 20 free family events.

As summer comes to an end, we're looking back at some of the great community events that took place across Sheffield.

Hosted as part of the One Sheffield, Many Communities programme, these events have brought thousands of residents together. We would like to thank everyone who joined us and we hope you've had a brilliant time celebrating your local community.

Here are some of our favourite moments.

The first ever modern football ground is right here in Sheffield.

Sheffield FC opened the ground at East Bank after the club was formed in 1857.

It is yet another piece of football history in our city.

Ahead of the bank holiday weekend, we are coming to the end of festival season!

We love hearing music from our city play around the world and are proud of the history we have with music.

Sheffield’s musical heritage is celebrated across the city, including through these sculptures inspired by Pulp and Arctic Monkeys.

Who’s your favourite singer/band from Sheffield?

A piece of cycling history rolled into Sheffield today.

The Tour de France Grand Départ 2027 trophy made a special stop at Meadowhall as excitement builds for Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. The race comes to Sheffield on 31st July 2027.

A great moment to celebrate Sheffield's place on the road to cycling's biggest race.
