The Sidcup Partners BID The BID is funded by a small ‘levy’ on businesses within the area, based on the rateable value of their property.

The Sidcup Partners BID (Business Improvement District) is a business-led and business funded body formed to support the community and economic growth in Sidcup. In November 2016, the businesses in Sidcup voted in favour of creating a Business Improvement District (BID) and paying an annual contribution to help fund additional projects, services and events that would improve the local environment

for the benefit of the community, businesses, employees and visitors alike. This raises in the region of £167,000 each year during the five-year term, so approximately £835,000 in total. This money will be used to promote Sidcup, to enhance the experience for visitors, to enable businesses to work together and to provide services to reduce business overheads. BID services are additional to those provided by the Council, Police and other providers. The Sidcup BID includes approximately 400 levy payers including well-known brands and organisations in the retail, leisure, hospitality and public sectors. We are an independent, non-profit company limited by guarantee. All the projects and services we deliver are additional to – not in place of – those already provided by the London Borough of Bexley. Our key aim is to raise the profile of Sidcup as a safe, clean, attractive and well-regarded destination for businesses, residents and visitors alike.

I wanted to update you, Sidcup High Street is next on the list for the 'washing' of the high street.

Once the Broadway, Bexleyheath is complete over the next week or so, they'll then be moving onto Sidcup.

I thought it best to keep you in the loop.

Looking to boost your health, wellbeing, creativity and confidence this autumn? Join us at our Live Well, Age Well Hub at Sidcup Library and discover a range of friendly, welcoming activities designed for people aged 50+ living in Sidcup, Foots Cray, Lamorbey, Blackfen and Bexley Village. The hub is an NHS initiative to help older adults stay active, independent and connected.

Chair & Standing Yoga (6-week Course) – improve flexibility, balance and relaxation
Age UK Functional Fitness MOT – check your strength, balance and mobility with expert guidance
Mudlarking Talk – uncover fascinating stories and treasures from the Thames

Community Update

Thanks to one of our local businesses supplying clear CCTV, the footage has now been passed directly to the police. The individual involved was in the shop earlier in the day and became confrontational His behaviour escalated, and this incident is now being treated seriously

Please continue to look out for one another and report anything concerning. Your vigilance and the support from our businesses make a real difference in keeping Sidcup safe.
