Second Sea Sunday!

Yesterday we joined the parishners at St Georges Church in Beckenham where we were proud to present our Branch Padre with his official Royal Navy Association Stole.

When our dear previous Chaplain Mark Blakely (Now Vice President) decided to leave us, Father Andrew moved to Beckenham from Sidcup but he remained with us.

A wonderful day was had by all, and we had our serving member, veterans and former Sea Cadets officers and volunteers there too.

The oldest branch of the Britiah military knows how to enjoy a good church parade, amazing cake from the congregation and plenty of tots 😉

BZ St Georges and to the Shipmates!

The Branch were out tonight supporting our friends at the TS Whirlwind Sea Cadets inspection night and parade.

Great to see so many cadets, officers, instructors and committee plus friends and family fill the unit.

Our Branch adopted this unit many years ago so BZ to all, see you soon!

The Deputy Lieutenant for Bexley, the Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress were honoured to be invited to the Sea Sunday Service at Holy Trinity Lamorbey, all overseen by the excellent Father Jim Horton.

They were joined by President of the Sidcup/Bexley Royal Naval Association - James Hunt and the Sevenoaks Sea Cadets!

After a warm (very warm) and welcoming service, fun and interactive throughout, there was an opportunity to talk to parishners and cadets about the brilliant work of both the church and the local uniformed services.
