Post by the Rotary - we shall be planting Crocus Corms on Tuesday outside The Hub Sleaford on Tuesday after our meeting, Thank you Sleaford Town Council for allowing this. The station adopters at Sleaford Station Poacher Line Community Rail Partnership have saved us a bed to add some colour there too.
Rotary clubs help to plant millions of purple crocuses every year to raise awareness for the Purple4Polio campaign and Rotary's efforts to end polio and come spring its lovely to see the purple around our community 💜 Thank you all 🪻🪻🪻🪻

Calling all Sleafordians, past and present. We need your help for two projects we are working on!
We are revamping our window display to improve our visitors’ experience. We want to create a display of photos of Southgate through the years but our archive is only so big! If you have any photos of Southgate, please email them to us at [email protected] . Importantly, you must be the photographer or have permission from the photographer for us to use them in the window. The photos will be enlarged so, if you have a digital copy or a negative we could scan, that would be even better, but any photos are greatly appreciated.

Our second request is for any artefacts, information and stories you or your relatives may have about Rauceby Hospital. Any nuggets of information you may have about the historic site would be greatly appreciated by our researchers. We are particularly interested in artefacts that used to be on display in Orchard House. The whereabouts of these are unknown, including the hospital chapel’s bell and the RAF commemorative plaque. Either email the museum or [email protected] or leave any letters with your contact details at Sleaford Museum and we will be in touch!

More than thirty years ago, a group of enthusiastic volunteers created the charity group Sleaford in Bloom.

The group is still volunteer led and the aim is to improve the quality of the town’s environment. This is met by enhancing and maintaining the beautiful floral displays, planters and hanging baskets in Sleaford.

If you would like to get involved, Sleaford in Bloom would love to hear from you!
