Snaith & Cowick Town Council want to say a huge thank you to Dave and the Our Place team for the Activity Bus session held in Buttermarket last night.

We're sure the children had the best night with the games, dance moves and friendship bracelet making.

Let us know what you thought and ...watch this space for the date and time of our next Our Place session.

All welcome.

Hi All

I'm making all in the community aware of anti social behaviour at the Joint Use Play Area next to Snaith Primary School. Recently we have had a number of drains smashed by a child with a metal scooter. Rubber wet pour surfacing has recently been broken aware and pieces have been thrown around the play area site. The new zip wire flooring has been broken away and thrown around the play area as well. All the flooring issues are now providing trip hazards for children who want to play and enjoy the play area. CCTV footage shows children thinking it is part of their leisure time to do this and continue with no consequences. This also includes graffiti. I will be honest the CCTV footage isn't clear enough however it provides time stamps where the police can use near by door cam footage to act on this vandalism. Wet pour flooring is highly expensive and I'm afraid these actions cause consequences. We have been focused on making the play area more accessible however we are having to now focus on fixing these issues to ensure the play area is safe to use. If there are any more issues we will have to close the play area for safety reasons therefore please report any issues to the Town Council. I will use the evidence I have to work with the Police on this if anymore happens. With the summer holiday nearly here I'm anticipating more issues but the realisation is if there is anymore damage to flooring especially the play area will be closed off

East Riding of Yorkshire Council Polling Station Review

Following completion of the community governance review by the Council in November 2024 and the review of the Council’s own electoral arrangements by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, it is now necessary to undertake a review of polling districts, polling places and stations. As part of that exercise the views of interested parties are sought. The review is currently underway and a summary of the proposals for all polling stations is available on the Council’s consultation webpage detailed below.

If you have any comments regarding the current location(s) or any of the small number of highlighted proposed changes, please let the Council have your comments by 7 August 2026.

These can be submitted by completing the survey via the following link:
