🔥 Reform UK led Kent County Council has raised the serious issue of lack of national funding for Kent's fire service. The pressures that come from being the gateway to Europe, through increased freight traffic and managing the Dartford crossing should be weighted accordingly when funding is allocated. The risk of wildfires in rural areas have always placed strain upon Kent's fire service. Cllr Thomas Mallon - Swanscombe and Greenhithe - Reform UK was right to raise this concern. Fire safety is incredibly serious, if you ever have to make that call, you want to know they are ready. 🚒

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandads, and father figures across Rochester & Strood.

Today is a chance to recognise the men who guide, support, protect and sacrifice for their families every day.

Fatherhood is one of life’s greatest responsibilities and greatest privileges. The values fathers pass on hard work, integrity, resilience and love help shape the next generation and strengthen our communities.

Whether you’re spending today with family, remembering a loved one, or working to provide for those you care about, I hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day.

From all of us at Reform UK Rochester & Strood, Happy Father’s Day. 🇬🇧

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our fundraising quiz in Chatham yesterday. It was a tad warm but if answering questions on 80's music helps kick Labour out of Medway, it's worth it!

A fantastic candidate for this local election.

A fantastic candidate for this local election.

🇬🇧 Reform UK is pleased to announce William Burvill as our candidate for the Cuxton, Halling & Riverside By-Election, which will be held on 23rd July 2026.

William Burvill is a Medway resident who has dedicated his career to supporting vulnerable people, SEND children, adults, foster care and standing up for those who feel overlooked, and helping individuals overcome challenges.

William is standing because local residents deserve a councillor who is visible, accessible, and willing to fight for the community all year round not just at election time.

His priorities include ensuring infrastructure is delivered before development, improving road safety and public transport, protecting village character and green spaces, and bringing greater accountability to Medway Council.

🗳️ Make sure you’re registered to vote and ready for 23rd July 2026.

Cuxton, Halling & Riverside this is your opportunity to elect a councillor who will work for you, listen to your concerns, and stand up for local residents.

Promoted by Peter Smith on behalf of William Burvill and Reform UK, both at Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London SW1P 4PQ

I have written to the Medway Reform leadership today on whether they would withdraw the display of the Ukrainian flag on public buildings at the same time as flying our national and county flag. 🇬🇧

Medway residents stand in support of Ukraine and opposition to Putin and Kremlin attacks on innocent European civilians; the acts of poisoning people on UK soil; and threatening our Armed Forces with incursions on British airspace and naval waters. 🇺🇦

Medway has a proud record of supporting good causes, from the display of the Remembrance flag, Armed Forces Day and other causes.

I will update on the response.

Why isn’t there a Black Lives Matter-style campaign for Henry Nowak?

George Floyd’s death triggered protests across the world.

There were marches, riots, politicians taking the knee, footballers taking the knee, corporate statements and weeks of media coverage.

We were told that silence in the face of injustice was unacceptable.

So why the silence now?

Where are the politicians?

Where are the celebrities?

Where are the footballers?

Where is the national outrage?

Why does it seem that some victims become national causes, while others are barely mentioned?

Members of Reform UK Chatham and Aylesford branch were in County Hall, Maidstone today. We saw Malling North Cllr Dodger Sian sworn in as Kent County Council Vice Chair and were supporting the great work that the Reform UK led council is doing under the leadership of Linden Kemkaran KCC. Councillors reaffirmed that we are a Christian country and voted that the Lord's Prayer would be said before meetings and the national anthem sung at the end.
