Do you have enough time to cross the road?
Contribute you views in a short meeting on Thursday 17th September.
My name is Connie Hatt, and I work at Transport for All, a pan-impairment organization guided by the belief that all disabled people have the right to travel with freedom, dignity, and independence.
We are currently carrying out research to better understand the walking and wheeling speeds of disabled people. The findings will help shape future guidance on pedestrian crossing signal timings, ensuring streets are safer and more accessible.
We're looking for Disabled people to take part in a drop-in session where we'll measure walking or wheeling speed over a distance of 8 metres. We will be delivering a session in Southwark on Thursday 17th of September, and as you are a Disabled People’s Organization based in this area, we would be very grateful if you could share the following Expression of Interest form with your community.

Participants will be booked into an individual time slot lasting around 10–20 minutes and will receive a £10 incentive for taking part. We will also reimburse travel costs up to a maximum of £30.
Thank you for considering this, and please do get in touch if you have any questions or would like any further information.
