Leeds needs more trees.

To help combat climate change. To help reduce the risk of flooding. To help bring down the heat on inner city streets, and to help wildlife thrive.

Leeds City Council is consulting until Friday 28th August on four proposed planting sites in the Bramley & Stanningley ward.

These are:

5 standard trees at Norwood Crescent
114 whips (unbranched young trees) at Summerfield Place
1,272 whips at the top end of the park near the Rosecliffes and Ferncliffes
239 whips on the grassy area just behind Rossefield Grove, as well as 5 standard trees.

Thanks to George, Kath, Jessica and Keely for taking part in our latest local litter picking session!

We started outside Silver's Deli and travelled down Stanningley Road. Three bags of rubbish collected!

Our next local action will be a litter picking session around Stanningley Road.

Meet us outside Silver's Deli on Friday 31st July from 6.30pm.

All welcome to come and join in - equipment will be provided, but please wear appropriate footwear and bring gloves if you have them!

Let's help keep Bramley and Stanningley clean and welcoming for everyone!

The Green Team got together this Saturday to clear out the ginnel between Fairfield Terrace and Fairfield Mews in Bramley.

We cleared out the rubbish and cut back the overgrown plants, making it much cleaner and safer to navigate.

Reminder for our action day tomorrow in Bramley!

We'll be meeting at 1pm outside Fairfield Community Centre.

If you can bring gloves and shears for cutting bushes, that would be delightful, but isn’t a necessity.
