Maureen and I continue to be very busy knocking on doors in Laleham and Shepperton and speaking to residents. On Saturday we met a local resident who is a photographer, who kindly took this photo of us in their studio! We had been out in the heat walking the streets all day so the professional backdrop and lighting helped a lot! Maureen forgot the step up box again 😊😊Cllr Maureen Attewell

Cllr Matthew Lee and I had a conversation with residents this evening in Lower Sunbury, and it was genuinely inspiring to hear the passion people have for recognising Middlesex within the new council structure.

We once again reaffirmed our commitment to the campaign initiated by Russell Grant and the many dedicated volunteers who have been championing this cause.

At Surrey County Council , I also voted in support of a motion proposed by my fellow County Councillor Robert Evans to recognise and reflect this important identity.

We support the proposal for the new authority to be named West Surrey & South Middlesex Council (WSSM) , a name that properly reflects the history, identity, and pride of the communities it represents.

A special thank you to Lower Sunbury resident McBreen for kindly gifting us these two postcards.
