The Town Council has been actively pursuing concerns raised by members of the public regarding dogs reportedly being kept at the old stable block on Hollin Busk Lane.

Residents have reported hearing dogs barking at various times of the day and night. At this stage, the Council does not have confirmed information regarding how many dogs are being kept at the premises, the purpose for which they are being kept, or the conditions in which they are housed.

The matter has been reported to the RSPCA, South Yorkshire Police and both the Planning dept and Environment Services at Sheffield City Council for their consideration and, where appropriate, investigation.

The Town Council will continue to pursue the matter through the appropriate channels with the aim to seek a satisfactory resolution to the concerns that have been raised.

In the meantime, if residents hear or witness animals that they believe may be in distress or at risk, we would encourage them to report their concerns directly to the RSPCA. Individual reports from residents can help ensure that concerns are properly recorded and assessed by the relevant authorities.

We appreciate residents bringing their concerns to our attention and will provide further information when we are able to do so.
