Over the summer the Dorman's Disco was closed for 2 weeks. A group of people we support in Thornaby still wanted to go out and socialise together so they decide to go to their local pub for a meal.

Everyone had a lovely time and said; 🗨️ "It was good to do something different but still together whilst the discos are closed, but they can't wait to get back to dancing at the Dorman's!" 🪩🕺

The theme for 2026 is “evolving threads”, encouraging us to honour the past, reflect on the connections we have today, and consider how we can positively impact networks of the future.

Make sure to celebrate and learn more about the wonderful ways East and South East Asian communities have helped shape the world we know today. 🌟

Richard was at the Riverside Stadium on 1st August to watch the pre-season friendly against Spanish side Espanyol. Before kick-off, he spotted his favourite player, Tommy Conway, signing autographs and taking photos with fans.

Richard was absolutely over the moon to meet Tommy and get a photo with him, it really made his day! 📸😊

The match finished in an exciting 3–3 draw, and Richard is now looking forward to the first match of the season against Lincoln City on 15th August. Come on! ⚽️🙌

One of our services in South Shield's recently enjoyed a fantastic BBQ in the communal garden, making the most of the sunshine and spending quality time together.

A huge well done to our Teesside Supported Living Services, who have received an 'Outstanding' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in all five domains (safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led)! This significant achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our staff teams in the area. 🌟

Service Director and Registered Manager for this service, Jenni Pearson-Butterfield, said: “We are absolutely delighted and immensely proud of these teams and their managers for the incredible work they have done, and continue to do, every single day. Achieving the rare distinction of being rated ‘Outstanding’ across all 5 domains is an exceptional accomplishment and one that very few services achieve.
