⚠️ Temporary Road Closure on Market Street, Longton 🚦 🚦

📍 Please be aware that the section of Market Street near Times Square will be closed to traffic from 7pm on Friday 17 July until 3pm on Monday 20 July to allow for the demolition of a dangerous building

The former commercial premises suffered two fires late last year. Since then, our building inspectors have continued to monitor the site and have recently raised concerns about the safety and stability of the remaining structure

🚌 Bus service changes during the closure:

• Service 11 (inbound): King Street → Longton Bus Station (Stand 1) → Wood Street → Upper Cross Street → Anchor Road → normal route
• Services 6, 6A, 36 and 36A (outbound): King Street → Longton Bus Station (Stand 3) → Wood Street → Upper Cross Street → Anchor Road → Market Street → normal route (inbound services will operate as normal)
• Service 27A: Will use Longton Bus Station (Stand 4)

Public safety remains our top priority, and we thank residents, businesses and visitors for their patience and understanding

The clock tower in Queen's Park, Longton is getting a revamp thanks to Pride in Place funding.

The £10,000 investment will repair the park's historic clock tower which was first unveiled in 1888.

It’s one of dozens of projects being delivered through the £1.5 million Pride in Place Impact Fund, which is helping improve neighbourhoods and community spaces across Stoke-on-Trent.

You may have spotted the brand new signage outside the Longton Exchange Management Suite recently......

We’re excited to announce that the new Tourist Information Point at Longton Exchange will officially launch on Monday 25th May!

The new information point will help both visitors and local people discover more of what Longton, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire has to offer, from local attractions and heritage, to events, shopping, food & drink and community activities.

We’re also incredibly proud to now be home to the only Tourist Information Point in the city ❤️

If you’re a local business, attraction, venue or organisation and would like your leaflets, brochures or visitor information displayed within our new space, please send us a message, we’d love to help showcase what our area has to offer.
