LEARN TO HONOR GOD’S WORD

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” - Joshua 1:8 (NLT)

Let's start by explaining what it means to honor God's word. To honor God's Word means to value and prioritize it above everything else - above our emotions, opinions, experiences, and personal judgment.

Firstly, understand that God's word should hold the final authority over every decision we make in life. To honor God's word:

- You must read, study, or listen to it daily. Let the word dwell in you richly, in all goodness (Colossians 3:16).
- You must acknowledge that it holds the greatest authority in your life and therefore, obey the word.
- You must trust and believe the word to work in your life.

This is the only way to experience good success and receive the promises of God for us.

When you do not Honor God’s word, it becomes impossible for you to experience its transformational power.

God has give His word. Would you honour it?

I will prioritize the word of God in my life over my opinions, feelings, and personal judgment. I will honor the word consistently. Thank you, Jesus.

THE LIVING WORD ~ Part 2

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” - Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)

"Listen, one of the ways to identify a very powerful tool that will become a massive threat to Satan and his plots is that he will fiercely oppose it."

Starting from Genesis, we see Satan trying to oppose God's words. The reason is the viability and activeness of God's word. The word of God is quick - the word "quick" in the Greek "zaō" is rendered as ALIVE. It means that the word carries Life in it. Jesus said this Himself, "The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63)

You see why the enemy fights you from reading, studying, and doing the word? He knows it works. He understands the efficacy of the Word. He knows that if you continue to behold it, one day, you will see Glory. You will find life, and so, he fiercely fights your attention to God's word. But today, you're going to make a decision to pay attention to the Word.

There is nothing that God has not provided to the Believer in His written word. Stick to the word! There is life in it. Amen.

CONFESSION:
Thank you, Father, for Your word, which is life to me. I receive Grace to pay attention and stick to the word. I am changed forever as I continually behold Your word. Hallelujah!

Wisdom is a Force!
“Yet wisdom is vindicated (shown to be true and divine) by all her children [by their life, character, and deeds] (Luke 7:35 AMPC).
True wisdom is the manifestation or revelation of the rightness of God in your spirit; it’s a guiding force that causes you to act, respond or speak beyond natural human reasoning.
It’s also the expression of the power of God in thoughts, plans, purpose, and decision-making. When the wisdom of God functions in you, it becomes the power that influences your choices in life. That’s why it’s a guiding force.
Wisdom propels you in the right direction in life, and positions you in the place of advantage. For example, Genesis 39 tells the story of Joseph, who was sold into slavery in Egypt by his brothers. Nevertheless, the Bible says he found grace in the sight of Potiphar, his master, and served him: “…and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand” (Genesis 39:4).
In the course of time, Joseph was imprisoned because his master’s wife accused him falsely. But wisdom promoted Joseph and gave him the advantage, such that even while in prison, he became the head of the prisoners. Joseph’s story is a very inspiring one.
CONFESSION
I speak wisdom, I walk in wisdom, and I manifest wisdom because Christ has been made unto me wisdom. I have great amplitude of comprehension and deal wisely in all my affairs. I’m guided and propelled by wisdom to think, talk and act right always, in sync with God’s perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Get Wisdom, Get Understanding!

(Proverbs 4:5-6 ) Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

I usually tell young people, if you refuse to listen to your Parents instructions, your Pastors teachings, your teachers in school, one day, you may have to listen to the police or the lawyers etc.

There must be someone in your life that you are listening to! And before you come with the ''I listen to the Holy Spirit'' talk, make sure that on the day, when you are told to produce a character reference on your CV for a Job, you put the Holy Spirit there and heaven as the address and Post Code, you can not dishonour the men that God has placed around you and claim to honour God.

Verse 6 of the scripture above says, forsake not wisdom, and she will preserve thee.
The word for ''preserve'' in Hebrew is ''Shamar'' it means to protect or watch over. This means, if you forsake wisdom, your will be exposed to dangers, you will not be protected. Brothers and sisters, when you give wisdom a chance, it can watch over you, it will protect you.

Did you know that one mistake can ruin your life forever? Just one silly and foolish decision can destroy everything you have laboured for in life, this will not be your portion in Jesus name.

in 1914, a young student from Bosnia called Gavrilo Princip woke up one day and decided to commit murder, he killed Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and this was what sparked the start of the first world war 17million people died and 25 million people wounded. One mans foolishness lead the world into war. Foolishness is very expensive.

There are people who are in their 40's today that have not recovered from the foolishness of the actions they took in their teens. One mistake can cause you a lifetime of regrets and pain.

CONFESSION
From this very moment, I affirm that I will be wisdom conscious in all that I do
I will apply my heart to wisdom everyday of my life
I will not let pride rob me of my Joy and happiness
I will be humble to receive God's wisdom at every given opportunity
Because of God's wisdom, my life is moving from Glory to Glory, Amen

Grace For Today Devotional by Apst Sam Agu Bruno.

All Things are working together for my good!

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

In this verse, “all things” is literally all things—the good, the bad and the ugly!

Now, it does not mean that all things are from God. Some things, such as accidents, sicknesses, and broken relationships are not from Him. They are just part of the fallen world that we live in. But what this verse is telling us is that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” That is our inheritance as God’s beloved children.

Do the people of the world have this inheritance? No. When bad things happen to them, they are what they are—bad things. But when bad things happen to the children of God, it does not end there. God can make those bad things to work together for our good.

In other words, the devil may throw lemons at you, but God can take those lemons and make refreshing lemonade for you!

For example, if you have been made redundant at your place or work, believe that God, who makes all things work together for good, has a better job for you. Indeed, we have received testimonies from church members who have ended up with better jobs and higher salaries after they lost their Jobs.

May this become your testimony today in Jesus name!

It is important you remember that God is not behind anything bad or ugly. But when those things happen, know that He can make all things work together for good. And don’t let anyone tell you that all things will only work together for your good only if you love God and are called according to His purpose, that’s who you already are. Hallelujah!

Those two things are not conditions for someone who is already born again but those were descriptions of believers.

Believers are those who love God because they know that God first loved them (see 1 John 4:19). And they are called according to His purpose for they have been born again and belong to Him.

Saint, because you have been born again, all things in your life will work together for good. This is your inheritance as a beloved child of God!

All things are working together for my good, even my mistakes, nothing dies in my hands, I am alive unto God. Thank you Jesus, Amen

The Holy Spirit helps us to Pray!

Jude 1:20

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit”

When you are faced with a crisis, you can tell the Holy Spirit, “I don’t know how to pray about this problem. I have done everything I know, but I don’t seem to be getting my breakthrough. Help me pray, Holy Spirit.”

There is such a thing as “Praying with or through the Spirit” see (see 1 Corinthians 14:15)

And as you pray in the Spirit, you will feel like there is a prayer going on within you. Flow with it until you feel a release. You will feel peace, the burden lifting and a note of victory inside you. The Holy Spirit will assure you that everything is going to be all right or He will prompt you to do something. Then, you will find that what has been hindering you from receiving your breakthrough is removed, and in its place is the answer you need!

Now I want you to Practice this, release the Holy Spirit to pray through you now, ... Pray in the Holyghost

Confession:
I am strengthened by the Spirit, I receive the Supernatural help of supplication from the Spirit. My Prayer Life is alive in the name of Jesus!
