π Day 1 of Mental Health Awareness Week: CONNECT π
Connection is one of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing β and one of the most powerful ways to support both our own mental health and the wellbeing of others.
This week, why not build connection through volunteering in Sutton?
π€ At Unity Junction (Duffus Community Foundation), volunteers help create a welcoming community hub through drop-ins, wellbeing sessions, and activities for young people, adults, and older residents.
β With Thursday Club, volunteers support carers and guests through activities, hospitality, and social connection, helping create space for shared support and understanding.
π At Sutton Night Watch Homeless Charity, volunteers connect with people facing homelessness by preparing meals, offering practical support, and offering a compassionate listening ear.
You can find details of these roles β plus over 200 other volunteering opportunities β on our Volunteer Hub: https://vcsutton.org.uk/volunteer-roles-hub/
By connecting, we reduce loneliness, strengthen community, and remind people they are seen, heard, and valued.
Reach out. Get involved. Make a difference. Because wellbeing grows when we connect. π
