This Labour Government has heavily invested hundreds of £Billions of our Taxpayer Money into the Mad Climate Con, Foreign Aid, the housing and welfare of Illegal Immigrants, and unnecessary DEI programmes (which exclude, not include) that remove meritocracy and increase division.
Whilst concurrently - massively underfunding our Nation’s Defences, gutting our Armed Forces, and leaving us as a vulnerable Country - open to attack! Fortunately we have brilliant Service-Personnel, but I fear for them!
I can’t imagine how any Labour voter believes that this is what they voted for. This is betrayal in the highest order!!!!

D-Day: I will always remember them, and always be thankful for their sacrifice!

Today marks the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, and with it, yet another occasion to remember our fallen brave Soldiers! It’s also a day to celebrate peace, liberty, and reconciliation.

Along with many people across the country, Reform UK Swindon is shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic death of Henry Nowak. Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with his family, friends and all those affected by this appalling incident.

Given the serious concerns that have been raised regarding the circumstances surrounding Henry’s death and the police response on the night, the 14 Reform UK Swindon Councillors will be writing to the Chief Constable of Wiltshire Police seeking assurances that a full and thorough review of Wiltshire Police policies, procedures and training takes place. We would specifically like Wiltshire Police to update their Police Race Action Plan which currently states ‘critically reviewing our practices to ensure that we apply our powers proportionately, remove bias and discrimination wherever we can and start to build greater trust and confidence within our Black communities’.

Reform UK Swindon would like this to say within all communities (which includes White British)

Where lessons can be learned from the events surrounding Henry’s death and the reviews now being undertaken in Hampshire, they should be identified and implemented without delay within Wiltshire Police.

Public confidence in policing depends on fairness, professionalism and the willingness of forces to learn from mistakes wherever they occur.

Right now, Scanners are limited across the Great Western Hospital; staff spend valuable time borrowing from other wards, causing delays for patients and staff. Having their own Scanner will mean better patient care, faster treatment, and save time for this hardworking Team!

The Formal Swindon Borough Council Annual Meeting was held today, where a the new Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and the Leader of the Council were elected, as well as Committee Leaders etc. Important votes and decisions were made, and I was proud to be part of this important process.

So you are all aware and to clarify: There has been no formal coalition formed between Reform UK and the Conservatives in Swindon.

Reform UK councillors will continue to vote on each motion based solely on what is in the best interests of residents across Swindon — just as we have done today.

Swindon needs Reform, and delivering for the people of Swindon will remain our key focus over the coming months and years!

My first Annual Council Meeting tomorrow. The decisions and appointments made during this meeting will shape the organisation of the Council for the coming year and years to come. I remain very open to working with all Councillors for the benefit of Swindon’s residents; I’m feeling positive about the future of Swindon!

📣 What is the Annual Council Meeting - and why does it matter?

On Friday (22 May), the Council holds its Annual Meeting at the Civic Offices - an important moment that helps shape how it works in the year ahead.

At this meeting, the 57 councillors will determine the Council’s new governance arrangements, including:

✅ electing the Mayor of Swindon, Deputy Mayor and Leader of the Council (who in turn will then appoint their Cabinet)
✅ appointing committee chairs and members
✅ agreeing changes to the Council’s Constitution
✅ setting the schedule of meetings for the coming year

In short, it’s where the Council gets organised and ready to deliver services and make decisions over the next 12 months.

Myself and the other elected Councillors were superbly hosted by the Swindon Borough Council, ‘The Worshipful the Mayor of Swindon’, Chief Executive, Directors, and Leadership Team this evening.
All Councillors had the opportunity to introduce themselves to one another, within a relaxed and professional atmosphere. The Council informative presentations were well delivered and received.
