We've refurbished the public toilets in Yelverton 🚽 🚾

We've completed our refurbishment of the public toilets by the free car park in the heart of the village. It is the first of several refurbishment projects coming to the borough, which are part of the council’s wider commitment to invest in its communities.

Working with our partners, several housing projects have been delivered across West Devon.

This includes renovating a property in Tavistock to create three new flats, providing safe, temporary accommodation for local people who need it most.

Help our hard working crews by putting your waste & recycling out slightly earlier ♻️

During phases of hot weather, we're starting waste & recycling collections earlier for the welfare of our crew members, so they can get more of their work done before the hottest parts of the day.

We're asking you to support our crews by making sure that your recycling containers, bin bags or garden waste bags are on the kerbside by 6 a.m. on your collection day during hot spells.

Thank you in advance for your support - our brilliant crews & everyone at WDBC appreciate it.

If your waste collection was missed yesterday, we'll be back for it tomorrow ♻️

Due to some of our vehicles breaking down, some recycling and waste collections were not completed yesterday (Tuesday).

Our contractor FCC Environment will be returning to collect them tomorrow (Thursday), so if your collection was among those that were missed, please put your containers and black bags on the kerbside for collection.

Thank you in advance for your understanding ♻️
