Sarah, Bishop of Shrewsbury is delighted to announce that the Reverend Pippa White, currently Curate of Fauls, Tilstock & Whitchurch has been appointed as Rector of the Benefice of Newport with Longford, and Chetwynd.
Pippa brings with her a deep love for the local church, a warm pastoral heart, and a genuine gift for building relationships and encouraging others in faith.

Pippa says: "I'm so excited to become your Rector! As a Norfolk girl, I'm thrilled to be able to keep living in a rural area, and am looking forward to meeting you all soon and seeing what God has in store for this benefice."

The Licensing Service will take place on Sat 17th October.

Cllr Nelson's regular surgery was held in Newport library this morning.

Tim said: "I've already had one resident, sharing an update on some land clearance the Council are enforcing - albeit gradually, but enforcing - on the vacant plot next to their house. Other photo is my bike, using the High street 'active travel' infrastructure. Or bike rack. There are a number along the High street, myself and a colleague got their number doubled, a few years ago now. They are used, as we see. Fine Newport in bloom flowers in the background!"
