Everyone in St Georges deserves to feel safe in their neighbourhood. As your candidate, and a mother, I’m passionate about reducing anti-social behaviour. Your current councillors promised a lot but delivered little.

I want visible policing, with closer working between the police, council and housing providers. I also want more opportunities for young people, affordable activities, regular youth schemes and youth clubs open on more evenings, other councils have done this, leading to a 46% reduction in ASB.

We will review discretionary net-zero spending to identify funding that could support this. Our focus would be on money that can genuinely be reprioritised, recognising that not every budget can be transferred.

Residents deserve action, and young people deserve somewhere safe to go and something worthwhile to do. Drop us a comment below, let us know what you think.

We are pleased to announce, Rebecca Oxley as the second of our two candidates for St Georges. Rebecca said,

🚨NEW opinion poll gives Labour a FIVE POINT lead ⬇️

If Tory and Restore voters tactically unite around Reform then the patriotic majority can still win.

We control our borders.
Detain & deport.
Put British people first.
Save the country.

If they don’t, if the Right does not unite, then a lot of people will be screaming into their phones as Labour and the Left dominate Britain until the 2030s.

That is the truth.

People might not like it.

But it is the truth.

We have only one chance to turn things around.

Just one.

The Left are starting to box clever by voting tactically.

That’s why Burnham is getting stronger.

If the Right does not do the same then we will lose and lose heavily.

Our children and the country depend on us finding that unity.

We are pleased to announce, Ozzy Alexander, as the first of our two candidates for St Georges. Ozzy said,

“I’m standing for St Georges, because, as a young person, I care about the future of our community. I’ve watched the town face growing problems, from anti social behaviour to concerns about the condition of our local area and youth employment. I believe residents deserve to be listened to properly. My aim is to be an approachable hardworking voice for St Georges and push for practical changes that make a real difference”

OUR PLEDGE TO THOSE WHO SERVED

Reform UK Telford & Wrekin is proud to announce a bold new intention, Valour Oaks Telford: a dedicated hub, built by our community, for our veterans.

What is Valour Oaks?

Valour Oaks is a Veterans hub that will be more than just housing. It will be a community — a complete support offering:

- Secure, quality accommodation for veterans locally and from across the UK
- On-site training facilities to unlock skills and careers
- Full rehabilitation and wellbeing support
- Spaces to connect, socialise, and rebuild civilian life alongside the wider community.

We want our veterans to thrive here — bringing their discipline, experience and valuable skills to strengthen Telford’s industries, while building happy, settled, family lives right here.

How can we do this in a cost effective way?

We will repurpose one of the already intended NuPlace developments as part of Project Nu Garrison, adapting it exclusively for our veterans. This means delivering something transformative with limited extra cost.

Working alongside trusted charities, we will create a community hub — potentially run by the charity — serving Valour Oaks residents and local people alike. Support for veterans whilst also providing community facilities to the wider public.

Why do we feel this is needed?

Some feel that the Armed Forces Covenant is being broken. Our veterans have stood guard, sacrificed, and served this nation with honour. They are skilled, loyal & disciplined. They deserve our gratitude, not empty words, and in return we gain skills and people of good standing living in our community.

This is Telford giving back.

It is time to repair the social contract. When they answered the call, we promised to stand by them. Now we keep that promise. Valour Oaks Telford is the next pillar of our plan for a brighter Telford and Wrekin.

Announcement from Reform Telford & Wrekin.
It's time to protect our kids. What's your view??

SAFEHER COMMUNITY CHARTER

While others have continued to naval gaze and offer nothing but warm words, Reform Telford & Wrekin have already spent the past three months working as a committed think tank – listening, analysing and planning real improvements to safeguarding across our town. This think tank will continue as we bring on board additional skills and experiences but the programme is advanced enough to share with the wider public, especially in light of recent events because the public want Actions Not Promises!

We are proud to announce the basis of our SafeHer Community Charter.

The charter is rooted in education and support for all children 12 -15 years old – with a specific, urgent focus on girls, who face risks in our town that have been overlooked for decades and demand fresh, determined action. Boys are fully welcome and included too, but we will not ignore the disproportionate dangers many girls encounter every day.

This is action, not promises. No more empty statements – we are thinking differently and will deliver practical change if we are given the opportunity to run the council.

What the charter will deliver

If we lead Telford & Wrekin Council, the programme will be rolled out across Telford and Wrekin within the first six months, with schools invited to participate or publicly explain why they are unwilling to adopt free safeguarding support for our children.

It will include:

- ✅ Conflict management training
- ✅ Risk awareness education
- ✅ Targeted safeguarding support
- ✅ Practical self-defence classes in schools

How we fund it at absolutely no extra cost to taxpayers?

We know families and households are under pressure. That is why we have designed a unique funding model that delivers this programme without placing any additional burden on local residents. Full detailed costings and our innovative funding mechanism will be published in due course.

This is just a taster of things to come, the first priority of any public body is to protect its residents. This will form part of a wider package to safeguard our children and provide a community in which they can develop and we can all be proud.
