The Home Office said no. The court said yes. 18 family members from Gaza have been granted entry to the UK under Article 8, with access to public funds required. Was this the right decision? Let us know below. ⚖️🇬🇧

🚨 Can someone explain this to me?

Ollie Vickers was elected to Donnington Parish Council and then to Telford & Wrekin Borough Council. He has now been appointed to the Cabinet with responsibility for the Economy, Transport & Digital Connectivity.

These are major responsibilities that affect local businesses, jobs, transport infrastructure and the future of our borough.

We think it's a fair question to ask what relevant experience, qualifications or professional training does he have to oversee such important areas?

He's gone from collecting glasses at a local bar one minute, to managing our local economy and transport portfolio the next, which requires knowledge, judgement and practical experience. Telford & Wrekin taxpayers deserve confidence that the people making these decisions have the skills needed for the job.

Too often, appointments appear to be based on political connections rather than proven competence, & the people of Telford & The Wrekin deserve experienced, capable leadership focused on delivering results, not learning on the job.

Should Cabinet positions be awarded on merit and experience, or on what connections you have?

Hi Shaun,

We would love to respond, but we can’t, you’ve blocked us Telford Labour Party.

We don’t think Telford is broken, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement.

If you would like a little debate, consider unblocking us.

Much love, Telford Reform.

Ps Shaun, we don’t spend a penny on our social media, unlike Labour 😘

64 Child Victims. 11 Suspects. ZERO charges.

Reform UK’s Nick Dunn and Andy Radford didn't hold back after yesterday’s full council meeting. While the passion regarding the latest CSE (Child Sexual Exploitation) report is welcome, the hypocrisy behind closed doors is staggering.

The council leader claims that West Mercia police are not doing their job.

How can the Council Leader make these claims when the council only turned up to 41% of Crime panel meetings?

It’s time to get this in order. Labour need to step up and do the job, or we'll be stepping in at the polls next year, and if elected, we will be at every meeting, to make sure your children are protected. 🇬🇧🗳️

Great evening with the Telford and Wrekin branches out in the Town centre yesterday. The positive engagement and support we're seeing on the ground is incredible, but to keep this momentum going, we need to grow our team.

"I will serve you to the best of my ability." 🤝

Thank you, from Tony Wakeman, to everyone in the community who voted!

As your new Madeley Town Councillor, I’m proud to represent you.

Like many Reform UK councillors, I’m just an ordinary member of our community, not a career politician, and I am here to make your voice heard.

Send us a message if you want to get involved! 🇬🇧

Actions, not promises. 🤝 That’s my ongoing commitment to you.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us, it was an incredibly close race, Congratulations to Cllr Ben Carter on his victory.

We might not have won this round, but I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be out across Dawley Bank and Malinslee, over the next few months, listening to your concerns and fighting for our residents.

I look forward to standing again in the next local elections! Let me know what local issues matter most to you in the comments. 🗣️

Doug Halsall shook Labour to the core tonight and it's thanks to all the amazing residents who, like him, are sick of the same old spin and broken promises.

To swing that seat by 36.8%, almost taking such a Labour strong hold has clearly got them worried, it showed by their leaders absurd behaviour on exit.

Don't worry guys, we don't take it personally, we'd be upset too if we saw our gravy train coming to an end.

Dougie will still be in the area, calling them out and holding them to account.

A massive congratulations also needs to go to Tony Wakeman, who successfully won a seat on Madeley Town Council, for Reform, well done Tony!

A huge thank you to everybody who helped us! What a team!

Tony has voted? Have you?

He’s about in Madeley at the polling stations, ready to answer your questions!

Make sure you cast your vote, the polling stations close at 10pm and don’t forget your ID!
