We are carrying out a survey of our new nature reserve on the 12th of April from 1pm to 5pm.
This is the first stage in planning the management of the site. We are keen to involve members of the local community at every stage and would like to invite anyone interested to come along and help or observe the surveying.
The survey will be lead by Paul Seymour, who works for Devon Biodiversity Records Centre. His role includes surveying county wildlife sites as well as managing or assisting on an array of other survey projects.
The aim of the day will be to establish what habitats and species are present on and immediately adjacent to the site, in order to maximise habitat value and connectivity. It will also provide a baseline survey, allowing us to monitor progress as the site is developed.
The location is ///hypnotist.games.humid, EX36 4SA, SS 8420 2076
For more details about the site see: https://devonculm.org.uk/higher-comfort/
The land is boggy and brambly in places, so wear suitable footwear. No dogs please.
We look forward to seeing you on the day.
There will be tea and cake.
