Had the pleasure of having a sneak peak tonight at “Mama’s Dessert Kitchen” Santa’s Grotto and it looks fabulous. Such a lot of effort has gone into it. A local independent business. If you have young children this is a must!.

********SANTA’S COMING TO MAMA’S********

If you are hoping to visit Santa this year with the kids then Mama’s Dessert Kitchen is a must!! We’ve turned our first floor into an amazing Christmas tunnel and Santa’s Grotto.. your child can sit in Santa’s sleigh and have a photo taken before visiting the man himself 🎅

All grotto customers will receive a discount voucher for downstairs so you can treat the family to some yummy desserts while you’re here 🍨

The grotto opens on Saturday the 17th of November {Torquay carnival day) and will run through to Christmas Eve.

Wow, what an amazing weekend with all the Young Farmers. Pleased to say the weekend went well with no incidences, but lots of fun and madness! As one young farmer said "its like a festival in a pub"
The Young Farmers receive a lot of negative press, but I can safely say after chatting and having had hundreds of them in the pub this weekend they are amazing! They are just here to have a good time, yes they are lively and if it's not nailed down it will become a trophy, but the fact of the matter is, they bring millions into the economy of Torquay and let's face it Torquay needs it!

I chatted to one young farmer who was clearly in agony and hobbling around, he informed me he had walked from Padstow to Torquay with many Cornwall Young Farmers for charity raising thousands of pounds! Whilst talking to him, others showed me photos of themselves
cycling/walking/swimming etc from various parts of the country down to Torquay all for charity. I think this side often goes unnoticed, the Young Farmers raise thousands and thousands for charity, but too often people judge because they turn the odd bin over, fall asleep drunk in doorways etc
There's lots of rumours that they are banned from Torquay but after speaking to the Police and Licensing they assure me that they are in negotiations for them to return and are confident this will happen.
Big thanks to all the locals who still came in and supported us, Yo Carling Colin, last man standing!!!!!
Big up to all the Cider Press staff who worked so hard to make this weekend happen and the success it was Andy Coxon, Darren Kellow, Ryan Hanlon, Little Jimmy! Dale Johnson, Josh Lyden, Olz H and the big man Marc! You are all amazing! Thank you 😀

P.S Thanks to the Young Farmers for bringing It to our attention that we need a roof Garden, we are working on it for your next visit. You Know who you are!!!

Wow, you generous lot!
We have now had receipt for the total amount raised for the Louis Stevenson fund. A total of £618.00 was raised over the Christmas period. So thank you all very much.
We have also had a receipt for money raised for Rowcroft Hospice a staggering £3,172.73
So on behalf of everyone from the Cider Press we thank you all for your generous donations.
