Save the date! The Wetherby Eco-Fair will return on Saturday, 6th June 2026, at Wetherby Methodist Church from 10am to 2pm, this free event is part of the national Great Big Green Week initiative, highlighting community-powered climate action.
Organised by Wetherby Methodist Church, , and the Boston Spa and Wetherby Green Group, the fair aims to provide practical ways for the local community to connect and live more sustainably. The event is made possible with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Event Highlights:
-Community Stalls: Meet the experts behind local green projects and wildlife groups, including Butterfly Conservation, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, and East Keswick Wildlife Trust.
- Educational Talks: Gain insights into the current state of our rivers and learn about the Leeds City Council food waste trial.
- Innovation & Creativity: View a unique showcase of fashion creations made entirely from recyclable materials by local students.
- Interactive Activities: Hands-on sessions designed to spark the imaginations of young environmentalists will be available throughout the day.
- Sustainable Shopping: Explore a variety of eco-friendly products and discover local sustainability campaigns.
“This fair is all about community-powered climate action,” say the organisers. “Whether you’re curious about greener living, want to support local wildlife groups, or simply enjoy a friendly community event, there is something for everyone”.
Entry to the event is free and open to all members of the public. Light refreshments will be available.
