As carers, we often spend so much time supporting others that we forget to look after ourselves. If you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, isolated or simply need someone to talk to, there are a range of free and low-cost wellbeing services available across Wiltshire.

β˜• Wellbeing CafΓ©s run by Rethink Mental Illness offer a friendly, welcoming space for anyone feeling lonely, isolated or anxious. No referral is needed, just drop in for a chat and a cuppa.

🧠 Wiltshire Talking Therapies provides NHS support for anxiety, stress, low mood and depression, with self-referral available online.

🌱 Recovery College Workshops and Cafés offer free courses on topics including anxiety, ADHD, better sleep, resilience and self-kindness, helping people develop practical tools to support their wellbeing.

🀝 Wiltshire Mind offers counselling, wellbeing activities and support groups across the county, while Alabaré Access Community Mental Health Support can help people find the right services and build coping strategies for long-term wellbeing.

🌿 Looking for something different? The Men's Wellbeing Programme from Wiltshire Wildlife Trust uses nature-based activities to support mental health, and TWIGS Community Gardens provides therapeutic gardening opportunities for people experiencing mental health challenges.

Thanks to the support, stability and opportunities available through Shared Lives, one of the people we support has been able to get out into the community, pursue interests and enjoy new experiences. This week's adventure included a close encounter with a Dalek and some famous TV vehicles...

This adventure is just one example of how Shared Lives can help people live full, active and meaningful lives.

πŸ’¬ We'd love to hear from our Shared Lives community...

What's the best day out you've had recently? Where would you recommend others visit?

And if you have photos from a recent adventure, activity, celebration or achievement, please send them our way. We'd love to showcase more of the amazing experiences happening across our Shared Lives community.

Your story might be exactly the inspiration someone else needs to try something new. πŸ’™

🌻 Did you know you may be able to get a FREE Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard?

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a discreet symbol that lets others know that you may have a hidden disability or condition and could benefit from a little extra support, understanding, patience or assistance.

Many supermarkets, transport providers, shopping centres and other organisations recognise the Sunflower and support people with non-visible disabilities.

Find your nearest participating location and check where the Sunflower is recognised:
