💚 Rebekah’s BBC Children in Need Story 💚

Rebekah from North Tyneside, was recently invited to a special BBC Children in Need supporters’ day at Quay House in MediaCity, Salford, to celebrate the difference supporters make.

Back in November 2024, Rebekah took on the challenge of swimming 100 lengths at her local swimming baths, raising over £500 for BBC Children in Need. 🏊‍♀️👏

It was wonderful to see her hard work recognised, and Rebekah was proud to attend the event and hear how donations help children and young people.

Rebekah is now taking on another swimming challenge to raise money for BBC Children in Need! 💪🏊‍♀️

Ashley celebrated his 35th birthday with a BBQ alongside his fellow housemates 🍔☀️

Heather, Norman, Gary and Eric headed out to support the runners at the Great North Run, along with some family and friends.

They had a great time waving everyone on and cheering as the runners passed by. Eric was especially proud to see his niece taking part and completing the run! 👏

They also enjoyed seeing all the amazing costumes worn by runners representing different charities and making the most of the sunshine. ☀️

Tenants and staff in North Tyneside, came together for a fantastic Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, enjoying homemade cakes, refreshments, games and a tombola. 🍰🎟️

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, they raised an amazing £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support! 🎉

A huge well done to everyone who attended, donated and helped make the day such a success. 💚

Yesterday we enjoyed a lovely trip to MIMA. 🎨💚

It was especially lovely to see and support our amazing volunteer Ola and her artwork on display. Ola uses her art to explore themes around identity, migration, gender and social justice, encouraging inclusion, empathy and self-expression.

We also had the chance to see the Turner Prize 2026 exhibition, which was amazing. There was lots to explore, and Ruthie particularly enjoyed seeing and hearing the elephant! 🐘

A lovely day out enjoying art, creativity and everything MIMA had to offer. 😊

Yesterday we took the crafts group on a trip to see Ola’s artwork at MIMA. 🎨💚 It was lovely to see her creativity celebrated in such a fantastic space.

A really special experience and a great opportunity to see where creativity can take you! ✨
