Hi just to let you know the winners will be notified early next week, with an invitation to our next Parish Council meeting in September to receive a prize. It was a real treat seeing the effort put into creating some wonderful colourful and interesting gardens.
Well done all 😊

After a brilliant first Volunteer Day, we’re getting stuck in again and there’s plenty to do around The Lane! 🔵🔴⚪

We’ve got jobs for all abilities, so whether you’re handy with a paintbrush, happy cleaning and tidying, can tackle some repairs, or simply have an hour or two to spare, we’d love your help.

🚧 Installing car park gates

If yes then why not volunteer to become a Windle Parish Councillor 🙂. Its an exciting opportunity to support your local community and help shape its future.

Windle Parish Council meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month , except for August, at the Village Hall on Kiln Lane.

The position of Councillor will co-opted. At present we have two vacancies. So no formal residents nominated election required.

We will also be attending Bleak Hill School summer Gala on Friday 26th June , so please pop along for a chat.

With hot weather expected this week, St Helens Library Service is offering cool, welcoming spaces in our libraries for anyone who needs a break from the heat.

Our Cool Spaces provide a comfortable place to rest and stay refreshed, helping to reduce the risks associated with hot weather.

When you visit, you can expect:
- Shelter from the sun
- Free drinking water – just ask a member of staff
- Seating and space to relax

Our libraries are open to everyone during normal opening hours, so you can drop in whenever you need to stay out of the sun.
