Today is National Old Stuff Day, a day dedicated to shedding the old and embracing the new. At Headquarters we have cleared out some older stock of books and audiobooks of all genres. It's that time of the week again when your reservation requests will have hopefully arrived at Ellon Library this morning! 🥳📖🤩

Pop in past this afternoon if you can't wait to check, we're open until 6.30pm today or you'll receive an email from Spydus tomorrow to confirm any arrivals (don't forget to check your junk folders and add it to your safe list).

We're open 9am to 5pm Friday and 10am to 2pm Saturday to collect this week (additional opening hours in our bio at the top of the page)👆.

Reservations are held at the library for 2 weeks. If not collected in that time, they will move to the next person on the waiting list or go back on our shelves. ⏳️

A fabulous afternoon was had by all who attended an event at Ellon library on Saturday afternoon. Celebrating our North East culture and heritage with music, poetry and song provided by professional musician Sarah Beattie, Bothy Balladeer Geordie Murison and four young people from Ellon Academy. Thank you to all our fabulous performers and We Make Music who funded the event.

Bookbug and our favourite pals had a great time this week at Ellon library with our first sessions in the new building, we hope you did too! ☺️.

Our theme of getting us all moving and the story of Hugless Douglas Plays Hide and Seek seemed very appropriate while we all get used to our new surroundings 😅

We're still trying to work out the best set up for Bookbug in the new space and appreciate your patience while we settle in.

IT'S FRIDAY!!! 🥳 Time for our Friday Fiction suggestion and who doesn't love a superhero?!🦸‍♂️

The Ellon team are working their way through them all as quickly as we can and appreciate your patience. We're being kept busy by all of our lovely visitors and lots of new members signing up which is fantastic to see!

We're open until 6.30pm this evening if you want to pop in past. Emails for reservations ready to collect should arrive by tomorrow when we're open 9am to 5pm.

Reservations are held for 2 weeks until they drop off and return to the system if uncollected so don't leave it too long to pick up 😉
