🎉 A big congratulations to our newly qualified paramedics who have successfully completed their two week induction programme 👏🚑

They wrapped up their final day by taking part in joint training alongside Isle of Man Constabulary Media Page roads policing officers, who were completing the final day of a police medic course.

We work closely with the Constabulary to deliver first aid training to their officers, including enhanced training for officers in specialist roles. This week's police medic course has been expertly taught by police officers who are trained and closely supported by the ambulance service.

We would like to congratulate the officers and our paramedics on their success and we wish them all the very best 💚

The Isle of Man Ambulance Service rose to what is believed to be the busiest day in our history yesterday (Tuesday 17 February 2026), as we responded to high call volumes and complex incidents across the Island 🚑

Our thanks go to our staff for their professionalism, teamwork and unwavering commitment to patient care. We would also like to thank those who supported us from across Manx Care, as well as the ESJCR and other emergency services.

Will Bellamy, Divisional Director for Ambulance and Transfer Services, said:

“This was an exceptional day in every sense, and I could not be prouder of our teams. From call handlers and clinical navigators to ambulance crews, operational support and command staff, everyone worked together under sustained pressure to ensure patients received safe, timely and compassionate care. It truly demonstrated the professionalism, resilience and commitment of our service.”

🚑 First Aid Training Complete – Even More Opportunities Ahead! 🚑

We’re proud to share that some of our cadets have successfully completed the Activity First Aid (AFA) course 🩺💪, developing essential life-saving skills, confidence, and resilience.

In addition, some of our staff have renewed their AFA qualification 🔄📘, with staff also completing catastrophic bleed training 🩸🚨 — further strengthening our safety provision and ensuring we’re fully prepared to support a wider range of activities.

This enhanced training now enables us to expand the opportunities available to our cadets 🚀, including being able to return to the range in the near future, alongside other progressive and exciting activities.

A huge well done to our cadets and staff 👏🎉 for their professionalism and commitment.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Isle of Man Ambulance Service🚑🤝 for kindly loaning us their catastrophic bleed training equipment, enabling our staff to complete this vital training.

Another thank you to our wonderful Civilian Committee 👥💙 who supported the purchase of a training AED ⚡ and an additional training mannequin 🫀 — vital resources that will benefit staff and cadet training going forward.

Lastly, a thank you to CI Morgan-Hayes for arranging and delivering the course.

More to come soon — watch this space! 👀✨
