We’re delighted to say that lots of our users have found our temporary library in the church where you can order books, browse and borrow from our stock and seek help if you need to use our online resources. Unfortunately we don’t have any copying or printing services available at the moment, but you can find these at the libraries in Wing and Tring.
Thank you for your patience, when we’re back home we’ll be sure to let everyone know.

Just a reminder that the temporary library will be closed on Saturday 10th October. Due to an event happening in the church.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are now open in our temporary home, St Mary’s church, Ivinghoe on Tuesdays and Fridays 2-4pm and Saturdays 10-1pm.

We have a small stock of books to browse and borrow and of course you can reserve books and collect as usual.
We look forward to seeing you.

We are pleased to announce that our temporary library will be opening on Tuesday 25th August in St Marys Church.
Church Road
Ivinghoe
LU7 9EW

Our opening hours will be:
Tuesday 2pm - 4pm
Friday 2pm - 4pm
Saturday 10am - 1pm

The temporary library will be smaller than our usual library however customers will still be able to browse and borrow from a varied selection of children's books, adult fiction and non-fiction titles.
You are also able to still reserve books through our temporary location or the Spydus app and collect them at the temporary library.

Buckinghamshire Libraries team has arranged for all of Beacon Villages Community Library customer reservations to be free while we are operating in the temporary location.

All loans that were due back during the closure of the library have been extended to ensure no customers have fines for this period.

Unfortunately some of our services such as Public computers, printing, photocopying and scanning facilities are not available as well as the Council Access Point phone. These services are not available in the temporary library location.

We are unable to take payments at the temporary library. If you have any payments to be made they can be made online at - Pay a library charge | Buckinghamshire Council.

The nearest community library is at Wing and customers can use any Buckinghamshire Library to access all library services.

You can still enjoy a wide range of digital library services from home including e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines and newspapers through BorrowBox, Libby and PressReader.

We look forward to seeing you and welcoming you at our temporary library and hope you will continue to support your local library through this challenging period.

Thank you

Can you help us?

After the devastating events in the Ivinghoe library last week, we are in need of somewhere to store the library furniture for a few months so that the building repairs can take place.

Do you have an empty garage, warehouse space or something similar you could loan us?
You would be making a very valuable contribution towards getting the library up and running in our home base.

Please message us with your contact number if you can help.
Please also share this message with anyone who might be able to help.
Thank you.

We are delighted to say that the Vicar of St Mary’s Ivinghoe has offered us a space in the church to set up a temporary library.
We are very grateful to the church community for this generous offer and will have more news soon.

14/08/2026

We would like to reassure our members that we are still working hard to set up a temporary home.

In the meantime don’t forget you can still access our digital services: e-books, e-audiobooks, magazines and newspapers and much more using your Spydus login.
Keep a lookout for more information soon.
