For your information, we have received notification that the invitations to tender for the average speed camera system on the A24 have just been published. Yes, they really are coming in the 2024/25 financial year - hooray, at last!

All your MVDC Councillors have been engaged in pressing for improvement of the Mill Road junction but this financial year’s County money has run out. County Cllr Stephen Cooksey is allocating funds for the necessary survey to take place in April in the new financial year and we, and Holmwood Parish Council, have been in regular communication with Surrey Highways stressing the urgency of this.

A team of volunteers are out and about this weekend sprucing up the neighbourhood for the New Year. Please show your appreciation if you see them at work.
We’d love to become redundant in 2024 if everyone uses the litter bins or TAKES THEIR LITTER HOME!

St Martin's Walk car park refurbishment is complete! A much needed improvement both in the depths of the multistorey and right up to the cycle racks and parent and child bays. The improvements make the car park easier to navigate and safer for pedestrians too. The soon-to-be operational EVCPs represent another exciting upgrade.
We’ve made sure the refurbishment works have added colour and fun to the area where our Friday market is held. There’s never been a better time to pop along, enjoy the fantastic community spirit and pick up some first class local products!
